Dock Park features a beautiful children's play area set within picturesque grounds. The park offers a café, mini golf, putting green, trampolining, bowling, a children's playground, and a junior park run. The new play equipment installed recently is more suitable for all ages and abilities and has bright and appealing colours. Dock Park's centrepiece is the nineteenth-century bandstand, which has been restored to its former glory with new lighting. The old bowling pavilion has been refurbished to house the park's toilet facilities and serve as the latest information hub. Dock Park is a fantastic place for outdoor fun throughout the year. The café will be open all year round.

2025 Update: Dock Park has a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance.

Station Park provides attractive gardens, a boating lake, an 18-hole putting green and a one-of-a-kind interactive water feature called Moffatasia. Children can play between the splashes and squirts all day while parents relax and take in the surroundings. There is a wide variety of boats available, from rowing boats and kayaks to swan pedalos and the famous Fernando the Dragon pedalo. Station Park provides a safe and diverse range of play equipment for younger children. The park has a broad range of activities and events. They also allow dogs and have picnic tables and public restrooms.

The park hosts various community events, festivals, and recreational activities. Castledykes Park presents a large playground, open field space, outdoor equipment, and recreational paths. The park offers plenty of opportunities for kids to use their imagination. An area of approximately 5 hectares includes traces of a medieval castle, picnic areas, a children's playground and flower beds in a former quarry.
