“Greenhead Park features tennis courts, a skatepark, a play area, and Kirklees's last remaining paddling pool. Greenhead Park cherished green space for over 130 years and also a home to the Huddersfield Pétanque Club. The park is perfect for unwinding, relaxing, and enjoying the excellent environment and landscape. This is a fantastic place to spend time with friends, enjoy the changing seasons, play on the swings, or grab a cuppa in the café by the tennis courts. There are lots of healthy, sociable, and exciting activities taking place in the park every week, along with a wide variety of one-off events. There are two bowling greens, which the Greenhead Park Bowling Club uses for matches and practice. There is a skatepark, which is a great attraction for young people who want to hone their skateboarding skills.

2025 Update: Parking on the surrounding streets can be limited near the park.”

“Beaumont Park has numerous natural climbing opportunities, biking, and scooting paths. The houses in this area are situated around the periphery of a medium-sized woodland and recreational park. There are football goals, a basketball area, and play areas for younger and older children, including traditional play equipment and wooden climbing and swinging equipment. The park is magnificent, with ornate features, cascades, caves, cliffs, and picturesque woodland walks for all the family. Beaumont Park is open all year round and free to visit, making it a great place to visit, whatever the season.

GREENHEAD PARK REVIEWS

Greenhead Park is a delightful place to spend time outdoors. The park features beautiful walking paths and expansive areas for children to play. It's impressively clean and well-maintained, with ample garbage disposal facilities. The play areas are in excellent condition and appear to adhere to safety regulations, providing peace of mind for parents. A charming duck pond adds to the park's appeal, offering opportunities to observe wildlife. Additionally, there are plenty of benches and seating areas scattered throughout, making it easy to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, Greenhead Park is a wonderful spot for relaxation and recreation.

What a brilliant park, with so much to do. Great views and so many different things. Beautiful lake, basketball, bandstand, duck pond and a skate park to name a few. Go for yourself with a family or a couple or a stroll alone! It is a lovely park and plenty of seating on benches. Clean, well kept grass and hedges. Loads of parking on main road on either entrance so no worries about that. The ice cream van charges £2.50 for one single cone which is ridiculous.

A nice park with nice sections of woodland and a war memorial. Some beautiful cherry blossoms depending on the time of year. There are multiple play areas and a cafe at the top and bottom, also a skatepark and some tennis and basketball courts. There is also a pond and some nice flower beds

BEAUMONT PARK REVIEWS

Beaumont park is absolutely stunning, the views are incredible. The park is well maintained with lots of exciting areas like cascades, totem pole and stone sculptures to entertain children as they walk around. We were particularly impressed with the play park which was brilliant, especially for older children. The play park is not enclosed, this didn't feel problematic as there were very few dogs at this end, but it did mean you'd need to keep a close eye on children if you have a bolter as there's an easy route to the woods below. The playpark has an easy pump track surrounding it which would be great for balance bikes+. Parking was on street but straight forward, and very close to the playpark.

Lovely park to take the kids. The play area was really good, lots for the kids to go on. Also loads of benches which would be perfect to take a picnic. The only thing I’d love to see is a cafe or something as I needed a drink and had to leave sooner than I intended. The walk was nice though and the nature trail was a great touch. Highly recommend!

This really is a beautiful park. One end is steep paths, stairs and grottos in cliff like walls. The other part has a stunning hand stand and a well equipped playground. Beautiful spot for walking and getting out with the kids.

Well used park for dog walkers. Museum has various exhibitions, but check opening times. Park run for children every Sunday morning, fun and well attended. For a relatively small park, used well by locals. Well kept, flowers lovely. Always clean. Annual Children's Gala.A generally quiet and small park. Decent for dog walks due to the large open fields. A play area for children. Major downside is the toilets are generally closed. Haven't visited Tolson Museum since I was a child but that is often closed as well.

Ravensknowle Park is a lovely place to take your children there is a museum called toulsum museum great education for children from cars fire engines and artifacts from the 1800hundreds there is also a play area for kids swings slides and various other equipment for the children to play on there is football court basketball court there is also a small skate park you can use scooters bikes and skate boards.

Welcome to Huddersfield. This is a lovely park with beautiful garden, green field, and playground next to Tolson Museum. If this place is managed even better, it may attract people to come enjoying the facilities provided. This place is perfect and nice on spring or summer to enjoy the sun.
