2025 Update: Hartsholme Country Park is a 100-acre park with Victorian landscaped gardens and has 32 touring pitches with electric facilities. Accessible to wheelchair users with assistance. They have an education ranger who can lead all or part of your visit, using their education areas. Hartsholme Country Park offers a free parking.”

“Lincoln Arboretum is a beautiful park of Grade II historical importance, containing lakes, fountains, and a lovely garden. This park is an excellent place for a picnic and has plenty of features to entertain the whole family. The park features a colourful bandstand, a larger-than-life lion statue, cosy enclosed areas with flowerbeds, a hedge maze, and a café at the top of the park. This is a lovely site for a family picnic or a day out with the children. The park hosts an exciting range of activities and events throughout the year. Parking facilities are available nearby.

2025 Update: Lincoln Arboretum is a 19th-century 22-acre park with 2 ponds, gardens, a small play area and a Victorian bandstand. It has wheelchair accessible entrance.”

“Boultham Park has over 50 acres of green space, woodlands, a lake, and a children's playground. The park has a variety of wildlife and nature to spot, just south of Lincoln city centre. The park has woodlands with footpaths and cycle paths, a children's play area, a bowling green, and a fountain garden. Boultham Park is home to various wildlife and has many interesting natural features. There is an abundance of woodland birds and waterfowl. Boultham Park is a special place for many local people. HARTSHOLME COUNTRY PARK REVIEWS

A beautiful park set in the middle of a housing estate. There are several walks to take around the park, and there are lots of bird watching and photography opportunities. There’s a lovely cafe here that does a selection of hot food, drinks, ice creams. Plenty of places for the kiddies to play as well. One slight criticism is there needs to be more signs warning families not to feed bread to the ducks/geese as I saw a family today doing just that. There are lots of spaces to park and there is a bus service that stops near the park as well. Highly recommended.

Lakeside park with wooded and open areas, play areas for the kids and a small touring caravan site with 32 pitches (buses to Lincoln just outside on the main road). Great for walking, bird watching and picnics. Lovely cafe, but only open currently for eating outside. Enjoyable walks around the "waters" where stumpy took centre stage.

A bird watching paradise! This park is glorious. A wonderful few hours spent walking through woods and round lakes. Marvellous. There's a play park for kids, a cafe and toilets. The whole park is dog friendly. It's teeming with wildlife.

LINCOLN ARBORETUM REVIEWS

Lovely green space with play area, a couple of ponds and a little maze. Lots of green space , trees and bushes. Little cafe and co op across the road too at the bottom on monks road. Access to the hospital at the top entrances , lots of littlr and dog poo bins. Bandstand and lots of benches. Good access via bus stops or car park . Always clean when we visit. Plenty to do and lots of space for picnics and running around. Been to a couple of events at the Arboretum and it's always nice and tidy. The size and peacefulness is deceptive from the outside. Lovely massive green space.

Lovely place, shame some of the guests litter. The cafe is very reasonably priced and has a kids menu. Plenty of benches for seating. Great place to wear the kids out with a park at the top and dogs get plenty of excitement chasing squirrels they will never actually catch. This place has been a great place to hang out since I was a teenager and I am now slightly closer to 40 than I used to be.

The playground was not crowded and had games for all age groups. The maze was just intriguing enough to lure you and easy to manoeuvre to avoid losing kids. The grounds were well trimmed and neat. A great place to relax and take a leisurely stroll with the family.

BOULTHAM PARK REVIEWS

Great open space with plenty of tarmac footpaths. Walk around the lake to spot the artwork and read the information boards. Stand on the deck to watch the swans and ducks. Zip line and basket ball hoop for older kids. Walk around to the band stand with open field for playing ball or running about. Enclosed play area for children. Walk around the house foundations and stop for a brew at the cafe and visit the loo if needed. You can then wander around the woods to spot squirrels and loop back around to the lake.

I am very lucky living very close to this great park in the beautiful city of Lincoln. Everyone connected to working, looking after this park should be given great credit at how it looks it is first class. Lovely place to walk play and as I do get exercise as it is the home of Lincoln’s park run . With over 300 people every Saturday using the park for exercise it is a brilliant use of this great park thanks to everyone connected for this every week

Not visited this park for a few years and very impressed. Lovely place to take small grandson to play and explore walks around the park and nearby. Very popular with dog walkers. We were pleasantly surprised with how neat and tidy the grounds were. Also visited the small cafe for coffee whilst we were there. We will be visiting again.
