My wife and I spent a fascinating morning at this museum. It is clearly laid out and easy to follow and includes rooms set out for different parts of the house from Victorian times. There are also rooms set out as different types of shops. There is also a exhibition of the history of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. And if this wasn't enough there are displays of early agricultural machines and transport. Here you can see an actual World War One tank. It was a lovely sunny day and we enjoy.

This is a medium sized transport museum focusing on local exhibits to the Lincoln/Lincolnshire area from bikes to buses and lots of transport related items. The biggest part of the collection is buses. The majority of the restored exhibits are in fantastic condition clearly a labour of love. All exhibits are clean and tidy and yes they are a little tightly packed but there are few ropes and you can get up close to most exhibits. There was even an opportunity to have a look around their works.

Call for Hours

Yesterday I visited the museum of raf firefighting as a volunteer. Being informed that the museum has had to close due to the new Scampton air show I was told they were having to find a new venue. Seeing the vehicle, equipment and meeting those involved makes realise this is a museum well worth visiting when up and running. Working in heritage and restoration myself I was overwhelmed with the quality and variety of the vehicle and the standards that are being kept for a museum. Thanks.
