SEFTON PARK REVIEWS
A beautiful park, with a bird-filled lake, wide, tree-lined avenues, and a playground. The playground is in need of a bit of tlc, but the kids still love it. The palm house is lovely to visit and have a wonder around, especially in the cold. It's also great for a coffee and cake at the cafe inside, or the van outside when that's closed. The other main cafe in the park is perfect for an ice cream and you can get a bag of duck food there too (also has toilets). It's worth visiting in spring to see the huge fields of daffodils.
The jewel in Sefton Park's crown. Don't miss this gorgeous building stuffed with exotic palms and plants, a nice cafe, friendly staff, and maybe even an afternoon or evening concert, or other activities. The park is top drawer too!
I went to stunning wedding reception here. It was such a beautiful place absolutely gorgeous. Staff were amazing I would highly recommend.

Love this park, always beautiful and very well kept. The mansion where you can see the actual calderstones has a great café with music and reading events (you can book online) with a friendly and approachable staff. Great park to spend a Sunday afternoon with your family.
Beautiful park, the mansion building is fully renovated, you can now see the Calder Stones themselves up close and the new cafe is lovely.

THE OTTERSPOOL PROMENADE REVIEWS
Nice place to walk and not too crowded. Theres a few tables and chairs for a picnic. There's a play area for kids, a skateboarding area and nature trails. Walking down the promenade there is a statue of a sitting cow. There is also a cafe with outdoor seating and just before the promenade a Miller and Carter restaurant which isn't open at the moment. Please note that at half term or kids holidays it's difficult to get a parking space and the tables go quickly.
Great promenade to go on a walk along, especially at sunset, you can get some great views over the Wirral. Can become busy, especially with bikes and electric scooters (and on occasion people fishing) but well worth the visit. Easy to access from public transport using Aigbuth and St Michaels (through the festival gardens) train stations although neither currently offer step free access. You can also use Brunswick station with a 10-15 minute walk along the main rain (this station has some step free access but still not accessible to all). There are also carparks but they get very busy even in colder months.
One of my favourite little woods and parks in Liverpool especially in the Autumn. Interesting walk no matter what the weather and some great little finds if you know where to look.
