World Museum is a large museum with extensive collections covering archaeology, ethnology, and the natural and physical sciences. World Museum belongs to National Museums Liverpool. Unique attractions include the Natural History Centre and a planetarium. The planetarium attracts approximately 90,000 people per year. The museum covers various aspects of space science, including the solar system and space exploration. The Egyptian antiquities collection of this museum contains approximately 15,000 objects from Egypt and Sudan. Their venues offer a wide range of events and spaces against a unique backdrop of historical artefacts and world-class art, with each experience curated by their award-winning events team. You won't need to make a reservation or buy a ticket to enter the museum or see any of their permanent galleries. You will need to purchase a ticket to see any of their Planetarium shows or their current exhibition. Tickets for both the Planetarium and the exhibition can be booked in advance from their website and are also available for purchase on the day from their Information Desk on the Ground Floor. World Museum is free to enter.

2025 Update: The building is accessible for wheelchair users, with level/ramped access and lifts to all floors. Accessible toilets are available on every floor, including a Changing Places toilet on the first floor.

The museum has 8,000 square metres of exhibition space with over 6,000 objects. Museum of Liverpool's frame is constructed with 2,100 tonnes of steel. The Museum of Liverpool's land transport collection includes more than 200 vehicles. They offer free admission for all visitors.
