Paddy Freeman's Park has a large play area for younger kids and the main play area for older children. The park is an excellent place for the whole family. Paddy Freeman's Park has a stunning waterfall, perfect green, and a lovely lake with birds and swans. The park is primarily grassed for informal leisure activities. There is a small café and affordable parking with a few spaces. The park has two picnic areas that have accessible benches suitable for wheelchairs.”

Exhibition Park provides outdoor gym equipment and event-conducting areas. The park is an ideal public park for runners and hosts a weekly park run for all abilities. “Heaton Park is a beautiful picnic spot located in Newcastle upon Tyne. It contains shrubbery, mature stands of trees, ornamental grass areas, and seasonal flower beds. The park provides climbing frames, play equipment, large green space for ball games and more. Heaton Park is an ideal place for birthday parties and school events and corporate functions. The park hosts many events, concerts, and entertainments. Your children can enjoy the adventure playground and relax with a picnic. Heaton Park provides lots of ample parking.

PADDY FREEMAN'S PARK REVIEWS

Paddy Freemans has a bit of everything, football fields, basketball, a lovely connection that leads directly down into Jesmond Dene which is very picturesque. There's a good sized playground for the kids, and my daughter's personal highlight is the large man made lake where we go to feed the ducks. A nice place to spend a few hours with the kids or perhaps take a picnic and enjoy some down time with the family. Playground: Reasonably sized playground for ages 1-16.

It's an amazing park equipped with a huge pond, kids play area, benches to relax, a food outlet, interactive stationary games, ground etc. It's an all in one place to have a fun day with your partner or with your family. The ducks and birds in the calm water makes your mind calm and helps you regain your strength. Nature is here Playground: A well maintained playground for kids and also for the adults.

Awesome small park, and a park of one huge park which is a big park of Northeast heritage. The biggest enjoy in this Park is that you can pick your own way of seeing it and still you won't miss any interesting places. The more you walk in it, the more you understand how much proud, talent, money and time was spend to make this park, to make it lol astonishing even though lot of time.

EXHIBITION PARK REVIEWS

This is a wonderful park is full of history and helpfully information boards scattered around the park tell you all about its former life. The main feature is the Palace of Arts (now the Wylam Brewery) but I remember it being the Military Vehicle Museum fill of wartime artefacts and tanks. In front is a large lake originally created as a reservoir for drinking water but now how to swans, ducks and the odd model boat. There are a number of play parks here, an excellent cafe, tennis courts, bandstand and of course access to the Town Moor. It really is a great place for the children.

Really good park in an ideal location in Newcastle, connecting all the way to residential areas down in Gosforth and Kenton. Close to city centre. Good spot to walk your dog/children or just have a nice picnic in the Spring/Summer months. Loads of wildlife to observe too!

A well-maintained park featuring a picturesque lake, an on-site brewery, rejuvenating walking trails, and a children's playground equipped with various slides and swings, offering a delightful recreational experience.

HEATON PARK REVIEWS

Great park with tennis courts, bowls, playground, cafe and pond. Very popular with families, dog owners and runners. Try and find the historic pear tree in the centre.

A wonderful park to explore and relax, lots of history and plenty of stuff for kids to do.

Heaton Park is a place to visit to leave the cares of the world behind. We have been visiting here during the lockdown and loved the atmosphere.
