'St James' Park' has 2.3 hectares of area with interesting history and heritage. It has a large open space for dog walkers, ball games, and other activities. And also, it has extensive play towers with rope bridges and large slides. Get refreshment from the park cafe with reasonable food and drinks.

Riverside Park is a 32-hectare site located along the River Itchen and includes six football pitches, two cricket pitches, a tennis court, skate park and three play areas. Take a leisurely walk along the River Itchen, a chalk river designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The non-tidal section of the river supports a variety of freshwater fish, including dace, roach and the migratory salmon and sea trout.
