3 Best Places To Visit in Southampton, UK

A friend brought me whilst I was visiting from the States. Lovely park! I so enjoyed watching all the otters play. It was a bit of a rainy day, which kept many visitors away and gave us the chance to see the animals up close. Very happy to listen to the keepers sharing the importance of preserving habitat, avoiding the lure of social media hype of making wild animals as pets and also urging people to spread the word that there's still lots of work to do to save so many of the smaller, less "flashy" species of animals. Really enjoyed our visit and took some memorable photos!

An absolutely amazing day out, we purchased the keeper experience for two and had such a good time. We managed to feed and see multiple of the animals around the park as well. Special thanks to Geoff and Tristian who showed us around and were super knowledgeable about everything, they made my birthday one I won't forget! There's plenty of play areas for the kids as well and loads of things to do for people of all ages. Highly recommend to everyone.

Absolutely fantastic place went on a cold week day but still got to see most of the animals. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Watched the deer and wolf feeding talks and both were fantastic. I loved how the deer were roaming and close up with you. You could see the staff cared and really looked after the animals. Really lovely place to visit with a very fair entrance price as well.

I have much love for Aviation, and as a Northern Irish traveller to Southampton, this was on my bucket list to see. Southampton has a wonderful history, and this Museum pays homage to the aircraft builders of the area of a time during WW2, there is also major respect to local Fire and Police services with a few dedicated floors to them. Your aircraft on show is pristine, very up close and personal, and the staff are a delight and full of all the right facts, and this truly was one of the highlights of my trip to Southampton. You have a beautiful collection! Long may it last, and may you continue to educate the young and old of times gone by! My 5 year old daughter loved it… and she was so engaged in the chat about ejector seats with your staff. Great memories!

Absolutely excellent little museum. They make the best possible use of the space they have and there's lots more to see than I expected. I was especially impressed with the staff who were very knowledgeable about the aircraft and happy to chat too. Highly recommended for anyone remotely interested in aviation. Sadly, I found out I would be too tall to have been allowed to fly a Harrier, but enjoyed the opportunity to sit on the cockpit regardless.

Great place to visit a lot to see and history to learn. There are some great displays inside. More than just aircraft to find here. I parked in the Ocean Village multi storey car park nearby, but there is parking in the street using parking ticket machines.
