Nice gardens to walk around and interesting history, not huge we managed to walk around the gardens in twenty minutes and then went to the basic but reasonably priced cafe, lovely helpful staff and nice little museum , don't go if you only like formal pristinely kept gardens but do go if you like nature and can appreciate the work the few people are doing to keep the gardens going, great for a picnic and lots of different corners to discover including an interesting folly, take your time.

I love this place - really friendly and accomodating staff, great exhibits, well maintained and generally lots of fun. Housed in the building and grounds of an old pump house, the main building climbs up several floors and goes from cars to motorcycles to Bicycles and just general memorabelia - toys, prams, cameras, sewing machines, everything! The grounds are a large courtyard/car park surrounded by buildings containing more exhibits ranging from a model rail exhibit to ambulances.

Call for Hours

400m 6 lane track with long jump, shot put and a track surfaced area suitable for high jump or other activities. There is a football pitch, toilets, showers, changing rooms and a café which can be hired out. There are stands which are designed to be stood on but you can sit down on them if there aren't too many people there and small amount of seating near the café looking down on the track and pitch. The track is a little harsh when doing stretches or exercises that involve putting your hands.
