Lancaster Maritime Museum is a renovated warehouse building of the area's 18th-century shipbuilding and maritime history. This museum occupies two historic buildings on St. George’s Quay, the city’s main 18th-century harbour. Richard Gillow designed the former Customs House, built in 1764. Here, you can explore the atmospheric and fascinating buildings and discover the history of the Port of Lancaster, the fishing industry, and life in the spaces between sea and land. They also have a small cafe and a gift shop. The Lancaster Maritime Museum is accessible for all visitors, with lift access to the upper floors. Children can enjoy free admission here.

2025 Update: The Gift Shop and Cafe offer maritime-themed books, toys, alongside self-service drinks and snacks to eat in or take away.

Gresgarth Hall Garden includes terraced, wild, water, flower, forest, vegetable and orchard gardens. The herbaceous plantings continuously evolve as Arabella tests and experiments with new ideas and combinations. Gresgarth Hall Garden features a beautiful bridge that crosses the river to a long woodland garden extending about 400 meters through the valley floor. The garden is occupied by over 60 bushes. More plants from all over the world are added to the garden for the visitors to explore. The garden also offers free entry to their visitors.

2025 Update: The park gardens are beautiful and well maintained, and wheelchair access is also available.
