WILLIAMSON PARK REVIEWS
Such a beautiful park with lots to do. The view from the top is incredible and the walk up the many steps of the Ashton memorial is well worth it. There is a cafe and butterfly house to the rear of the memorial and there are several sets of swings/play areas throughout the park. The adjoining woodland and lakes are also great to walk through and we enjoyed our visit, even though it was raining. A stunning place.
Great family park, amazing views across to Morcambe Bay, Aston Memorial is beautiful and has lovely interior spaces, well worth a visit; also a cafe and a little waterfall feeding into a pond with fountain. Butterfly house was closed when I visited but it is in an Edwardian palm house and looks beautiful. Good parking and mainly accessible with a mobility scooter but there are steps up into the memorial.
Lovely place to visit for all ages including children and dog walkers. Beautiful gardens nature trails, butterfly house and the stunning Ashton Memorial which stands on the grounds of the old hanging gallows were some of the Pendle witches were hung 400 years ago.

RYELANDS PARK REVIEWS
Another historic part of lancaster, great little park. Usually quite clean, plenty of parking space and generous area to to have a walk. Usually a venue for circuses and fairgrounds.
Predominantly green open play area with paths that join. A large, gated adventure playground with adjacent parking. Easy access from cycleway. Football pitches for kids games. Lots of space to simply enjoy and play with balls and boomerangs.
Lots of lovely open spaces with football posts for those who enjoy a kick-about, a children's play area and fitness equipment, all set in a delightful range of trees!
