“Ellel Village Hall venue was built in 2013, and this fantastic, modern, and spacious village hall is available for hire for any occasion. Ellel Village Hall is the first stop for village activities, fundraising events, and community groups. The hall provides a large, light, airy main hall, a meeting room, a breakout area, and a well-equipped kitchen and bar. Ellel Village Hall is committed to providing a community venue of high standards at an affordable price. The local community was heavily involved in the project, applying for National Lottery grants and other funding with support from Community Futures in Preston. In 2005, a Parish Plan consultation for the Ellel council ward had a 64% response rate, and the proposal for a new village hall received overwhelming support.

2025 Update: Faye Sudell is the Hall Co-ordinator of Ellel Village Hall, which offers space for events, leisure, learning, and social activities. They support local clubs and groups, and also welcome new ones.”

ELLEL VILLAGE HALL REVIEWS

We recently held an event in the Mayne Hall, and could not ask for anything more in an event space. The bar was very convenient and helped to make our event even easier to run. The hall was easy to book and very affordable. Everyone was very friendly and easy to contact with queries. I would definitely recommend this hall for event hire.

Everything was great, thank you! We had such a lovely day and the hall was fantastic! We had so many compliments from people to say how nice the space was and it really was everything we needed for the christening! The bar staff were great, thank you for all your help in the morning too it was much appreciated!

Great space, very responsively managed and they were on hand in the day to make sure we were in and set up. There is an easy music system to use and cups etc in the kitchen for coffees and teas as well as a dishwasher. Lots of parking, and enough space in the venue for a bouncy castle, ride on cars and lots of running around!

LANCASTER HOUSE REVIEWS

I've just come back from an overnight stay, after a family wedding. The ceremony room was lovely, bright and airy. The reception and night do were great too (all under one roof!) Lots of places inside and out to chat, and have a sit down. It was an enjoyable day all round. Some of the staff did the whole day, but their pleasant, do anything for you attitude never wavered. The food was lovely too. A great place, with a nice setting for your 'big day'. Many thanks.

Great hotel. Rooms are older but very clean and tidy. For example bathroom looks like it's from the 80s but there isn't a mark on the sealant, grouting. Maintenance is obviously very well done. Main areas have been updated. An old world feel with a bright and modern team. Loved the open fire in reception and the piano being played.

Lovely hotel. Staff are really friendly the rooms are super clean and well presented. The beds are firm enough to support but soft enough to provide comfort The restaurant and bar are a couple of quid more expensive than you may like but the food looked great and you're in a lovely atmosphere so maybe justified pricing.

Stellar little public spot. The cafe has a somewhat arty/ new deco warehouse vibe. Great place to chill, work or meet with friends. Nice eclectic mix of cafe food, and they also cater for allergens, I opted for the roast beef and red onion sandwich on gluten free bread and almond milk hot chocolate - which were both really yummy. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Really rate this place and would go back again... and again!

Really really good artistic venue, with a coffee shop where I had possibly the best cappuccino I've ever had. They then followed it up with possibly the best flat white I've ever had.

Great venue for art exhibitions and other arty activities. Loads of airy space and plenty of loos that are clean and accessible. There's also an elevator.
