Tropical Birdland features many bird species, including parrots, toucans, hornbills, and owls. Tropical Birdland is a 6.5-acre sanctuary for parrots and exotic birds, dedicated to providing a home for some of the most fascinating species worldwide, housing over 250 feathered residents. The Parrot Path is a beautiful spot to get close and interact with the birds. A play area and a picnic area are situated next to the Real Macaw Restaurant, which is popular with both adults and children. On a woodland walk, visitors can discover a variety of native wildlife, trees, and shrubs. Visitors can also view chicks up close through large windows in the chick room.

Leicester Museum & Art Gallery opened in 1849 with 400 objects donated by the Philosophical Society and Leicester Literary. The museum has a collection of curiosities, artwork, antiquities, fossils, animals, birds, and insect specimens, providing local people with an insight into the world. Leicester Museum & Art Gallery contains science, history, and art displays featuring international and local themes. The museum has 15 galleries and is a popular meeting place with a busy programme of events, lectures, and educational visits. The museum is also available for a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies, private hire and celebrations.

2025 Update: The museum has a stuffed polar bear, Peppy, the mascot of Fox's Glacier Mints. This is held in a collection of taxidermy animals, which have been collected from areas around the world. The exhibit includes several temperate specimens, as well as polar and savannah specimens.
