Absolutely banging prime cheeseburger! One of the best tasting beef patties I've ever had. Thick and juicy with superb flavour. You won't find a better one in Warrington. Really high quality meat. The bun was nice and the sauce was tasty too but didn't need quite so much of it. I like a messy burger but it was slipping out of my hands. The triple cooked chips were fluffy and crispy and just about the right size portion considering I had the rib starter on the side too! They were delicious as well, nicely seasoned and the right amount of sauce on them. I was disappointed that the pulled pork burger addition wasn't available but I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The service was great too, really pleasant staff. My Dad enjoyed the roast and my Mum really liked the teriyaki fish kebab. Closer to a fine dining place but not overpriced for the quality of the food and service.

Booked here blind really, not from Warrington. Thank goodness we did. One of the best meals out for a very long time. The staff and service were amazing. A lovely greeting as soon as you walked in. Staff were very attentive with a good sense of humour. Starters were steak tartare, which was gorgeous, and Tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid. Batter was light, and the prawns and squid lovely and soft. Mains were meat hanging kebab with garlic oil to pour over and half lobster, both really, really tasty. We will definitely be returning. Can't recommend highly enough.

We were recommended to try The Grill on the Square by a colleague who lives in Warrington, and we are so glad we did! Situated in a cosy and beautiful square, almost hidden from the city centre hustle and bustle, the grill on the square looks fantastic both inside and out. We were warmly greeted and offered some drinks whilst we perused the menus in the bar area. The server brought our drinks over and then took our food order. In no time at all we were shown to our table and to my surprise our starters were laid out waiting for us which was a lovely touch. We had ordered from the set menu, and both the starters, mains, and sides were absolutely delectable! Absolutely fantastic quality taste and presentation. The refreshingly attentive staff brought our meals out and asked if we wanted anything else during our meal and also brought over a complementary bottle of house wine, which was a fantastic surprise. I cannot fault the grill on the square and thoroughly recommend it. The waigu croquettes are phenomenal.

First time visiting, it was recommended, so we tried. It was gorgeous. The pub was full but we got a table. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was so nice. I had garlic and mushroom bake. It was vegan, but you would never have known that. It was superb. Just right size, not too much. A throughly lovely meal and a great pub. Will definitely be going back for another garlic and mushrooms pie.

The butcher’s arms is a great little pub with a lovely atmosphere. One of the girls Lucy always does service with a smile and is always there to help with anything. She is a great laugh and a lovely girl.

We called in for lunch on Tuesday the food was delicious and the price was amazing my husband had the gamon steak and he said it was cooked to perfection I had the chicken strips they were delicious the service was excellent and all the staff were very very friendly it was a lovely atmosphere will definitely visit again.
