DERBY MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY REVIEWS

I visited here recently with my daughter, due to attending one of the planned summer activities “Make a Shabti or Saracophagus”. On arrival we first went to the cafe for a drink & piece of cake. There was plenty of seating to choose from & it was good to see the museum items in the cafe too. After finishing in the cafe, we had a walk around the museum, with my daughter being particularly interested in room containing the animals. We then went onto the planned activity & were greeted by two lovely ladies. They gave us the clay, then explained about what & how we could make the Egyptian figures, along with giving us all the necessary tools. Once we finished, one of the ladies helped to pack them up, for us to take home & then helped me gather everything up before leaving. I will definitely be back in the future, keeping an eye out for more activities.

Fantastic range of exhibits and artefacts on display. There were a few activities and crafts for children set up and an interactive Lego hunt. A beautiful array of paintings too. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and learnt so much.

Amazing visit to the museum today. There was a fantastic Easter holiday arts and crafts session taking place. Graeme's ease and humour when making angels with my niece was the highlight of our day. Highly recommend the museum overall and Heidi and Graeme in particular.

Great eclectic range of art ,something for everyone .Loved the books of artwork and also the history of artists .Representative of the community with established artists ,up and coming and unusual alternative art also featuring sculpture .Even someone with little knowledge of the art world will find something to love . Staff were very friendly without being pushy .A nice chat about my love of photography.

Quiet and wonderful wee cubby in the shopping centre. Wonderful art including comic art and some bronze sculptures, Disney original drawing, some layered cells (if I'm correct). Serious money but a real aesthetic treat.

I recently visited Castle Fine Art in Derby, and it was an incredible experience! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the various art pieces and framing options. I was amazed by the selection of limited edition prints and original artworks—they have something for everyone.
