They are a workers' co-operative, owned and run by their members. At the Handmade Bakery, they make real bread using traditional artisan processes. Their slow-fermented, hand-crafted artisan breads are made with high-quality, organic, and locally sourced ingredients. The Handmade Bakery Ltd. also make French patisserie, sweet Scandinavian buns, and savoury Danish rolls using the same traditional methods, all handmade on-site. Their bakers make over 300 items of patisserie each week, lovingly crafted to partner with the excellent teas and coffee available in the café.
