ASHLEY HOUSE GUEST HOUSE REVIEWS

We had a wonderful stay at Ashley House Guest House. It was hard to find on the road at first, but if you look around while at the light you can see the entrance before you pass it. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable and help us feel welcome. I was fighting morning sickness in a new pregnancy and they provided herbal teas to help with my nausea. Darrin also packaged my breakfast for me to nibble on slowly after I struggled with eating in the morning. We loved how comfortable the rooms are, the location is close to much to do only a couple blocks down the road, and we took time to see local sights before leaving. Will stay here again if we travel back in future.

Highly recommend Ashley House, Darren and Margaret are superb hosts. Very very clean, excellent breakfast. Lovely rooms. Location is excellent, close to shops, restaurants, bus stop and train station. Our 3rd stay and will definitely be back. The perfect B&B.

We enjoyed our stay at Ashley House whilst in Dundee visiting our son. Darren and Margaret were very welcoming and made us and our dogs feel at home. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean.

I've stayed in quite a few lovely B&Bs along the years, but this is simply next level. Never had we experienced such care in every single aspect of our stay somewhere, all those extra details, all these... thoughts given... I feel like I've been cared for like a beloved relative, really. For more practical notes: the bedroom was wonderfully cosy with so many little and big touches and attentions, the breakfast was gorgeous, and the hosts, two of the loveliest people I've ever met. Thank you Fiona & Brian for making us feel so special!

I can't believe I never "reviewed" our stay from back in September of 2022. My bad! Our hosts were most generous with their time. Had we known that our hostess, Fiona, was a truly gifted chef, we'd have booked our dinner ahead of time. As it turned out, she adapted and we did take all our dinners in house. Breakfasts were just as delicious. The room was comfortable and, well, roomy. Bryan was an excellent host. If you have any interest in model war games, the more historical the better, get on Bryan's good side -- he has only one -- and he'll show you his latest setup. We were there for Waterloo. All in all, they are wonderful hosts. Next time we go to Scotland -- that was our fourth trip -- we'll stay with them again. Highly recommend Dupplin 152.

PREMIER INN DUNDEE CENTRE REVIEWS

Lovely location on the quayside and very handy for everything in the city. Friendly and welcoming staff throughout. However, the rooms are tired! Also the pillows were not clean and I found hairs, and crumbs, in the bathroom and bedroom area.

One of the better Premier Inns I have stayed in recently, good location for exploring Dundee and a good restaurant with a decent menu. Rooms have air conditioning which is great in warmer weather. Staff helpful and pleasant.

Great location: Right next to the river - in good weather you can sit on the banks of the Tay - and right next to the RSS Discovery ship and its museum and the V&A Museum. Its also a very short walk to the centre of Dundee and the Verdant Museum of the Jute industry in Dundee - all really worth visiting.
