“Baxter Park is listed in Scotland's Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes. The park was laid out by one of the great innovators and achievers of the 19th century. Baxter Park is in the heart of Dundee, with newly refurbished tennis courts, a multi-use games area. Baxter Park has a café and a beautiful setting for events, functions, and civil weddings. The park is used as a venue for the annual Bonfire Night fireworks displays. The creation of the park centre has provided the local community with an area for local events and activities. BAXTER PARK REVIEWS

A beautiful park on the outskirts of the city centre. There are wide open spaces for dog walkers to let the furries run wild. The place also has tennis, basketball and football courts. The top end has loads of winding paths meandering through the trees. Well worth a visit if you fancy a chilled out retreat.

Lovely and well kept park with a nice variety of tree and plant life. Good for walking and jogging but not cycling, as the paths are occupied by pedestrians with dogs. The main pathway which cuts halfway through the park is well lit at night, but the other paths are really pretty dark and scary.

A beautiful large park with soothing greenery located within 2 kilometres of Dundee City Centre. There is a playpark inside its territory. The park has walking trails for walking and benches to sit and relax.

CAMPERDOWN COUNTRY PARK REVIEWS

This has to be one of the best play grounds in Scotland that I have ever come across. I was already good and then I was further extended a couple of years ago. There are plenty of parking and also toilet facilties available. You will also find plenty of seating in various forms. The setting within the Camperdown Park is also pretty incredible and to just wander through and take in. Top marks and a must visit if you're in Dundee and have young and even toddlers. We were there at 8.30am and it was getting cleaned and tidied up by the council cleaning which was good to see. All the activities the kids went on, 3 yr and 6 yr old was functioning perfectly. Great way to spend a few hours.

This park is an excellent place to unwind, connect with nature, and have a great time with your children. It offers beautiful greenery and a peaceful atmosphere, making it perfect for picnics with friends and family. In addition to its scenic walking trails and picnic areas, the park features a children's playground and a wildlife center for added enjoyment.

Great place for walking the dog and entertaining the kids. Since the council golf course closed down during the pandemic there are even more great options for walks. Just mind the dog poo everywhere...

Excellent little park. Amazing place to relax on sunny days - full of people, plenty of nice space for a picnic, tracks for a jog, places to walk your dog (with associated bins!) and benches that oversee the park and offer a nice view while relaxing or reading. Lovely little place.

Great day out with the grandchildren, plenty to do and see thanks to the services..police, firemen for spending time with the kids only thing the Q for food were to long maybe need more for next year, a big thank you.

This relatively small park has stunning views across the river Tay with a well appointed children's play area nearby and is within easy walking distance of the city centre. It is also home to the iconic bandstand.
