“The Hayloft at Oakwood Barn offers luxury, self-contained accommodation in a large suite on the first floor of a modern barn conversion. There is only one suite, and it is entirely private. “Alma House is a charming Victorian establishment that offers accommodation. The double rooms available to rent are beautifully decorated. Each room has free high-speed fibre WiFi, a Smart TV, a double pine bed, an armchair, a pine desk and chair, a washbasin with a shaver point, tea and coffee-making facilities and a fridge. Guests share access to three toilets, a power shower, and a bathroom featuring an original cast-iron bathtub. Bathrobes and towels are provided for your added comfort. A self-serve continental breakfast includes porridge pots, grapefruit, toast, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, tea, coffee, and juice. Very Nice... Great hosts. Very well layed out, plenty of room. Very clean and attention to detail is noticeable. Good facilities and very important... ultra clean sheets on a comfy bed. No one could be disopointed with this accommodation, wether 1 night or a week. Hosts very accommodating. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you Hosts.

So much better than staying in a soulless generic hotel. I will look to this place first when I next visit Newbury.

ALMA HOUSE REVIEWS

If you want comfort, good locaton, good hot shower, warm comfy rooms, easy access to shops, great hosts then look no further! Alma delivers all those with distinction and most of all, cheaper than any accomodation in the area. Is that in the expense of quality I hear you wonder.... absolutely not!! Alma is by far the nicest B&B I have ever stayed in and I would choose it over any hotels or B&Bs in Newbury. When you stay at Alma, you would think you have come back to a home after a long day out. It is an environment where you can kick back and relax!! Well done Dermot and Katie for getting it absolutely right!!

I would definitely recommend this lovely B&B accommodation. Katie&Dermot have created an amazing atmosphere in their house that inspires and attracts everyone. If you plan on visiting Newbury for work or travel don’t hesitate to book a room in this wonderful Victorian house in the heart of the town. While staying there you will also very much enjoy the most beautiful garden.

A lovely B&B run by a couple who couldn't do more for you. A very comfortable room and a short walk from town. I'm in Newbury fairly often with work so I'll be sure to go back to Alma House.

Stayed just 1 night, rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet, Jane and her partner made us feel very welcome, highly recommended.

I stayed here for one night. It is clean and cosy B&B. The ohners are friendly and welcoming. Cooked English breakfast was great. I definitely recommend this place.
