WEST BERKSHIRE MUSEUM REVIEWS

A well curated small museum. Highlights - great drone footage of areas of West Berkshire, and a map of the county below which lights up in the area where the drone footage is coming from. Some great Roman and prehistoric artefacts, and some bafflingly small but beautiful shoes! A fair bit around the civil war, and local involvement. Great cafe too.

Lovely little Museum in the beautiful Wharf building. Plenty to look at and information boards to read. Lots about the local and surrounding areas. Royal visits and architectural finds. It's all clean and tidy, well set out, and the staff are friendly. There is a staircase to conquer, and a lift for the less able. An area for tea, coffee and a cake if you so wish. A very nice way to spend an hour of your day.

Really well presented museum with lots of easy to read information. Interactive exhibits for all ages and very accessible for disabled visitors.

Had a wonderful visit here to watch Barnum! We opted to have dinner here too with the themed menu and as two people with dietary requirements the menu was very well catered to us and the wait staff were amazing. The show was also super and would highly recommend. The theatre was in a lovely condition and again very friendly staff. Would come back here again - 100%!

A fabulous evening in an historic setting. Had a light supper and drinks in the garden before the performance. The Lord of The Rings musical was an exceptional experience, partly outdoors then moving into the theatre itself. We would most definitely recommend this venue, and only wish we lived closer as we would attend on a regular basis.

Saw Barnum last night and what a fantastic show it is! Amazing cast of incredibly talented actors/dancers/musicians, brilliant staging and choreography - just brilliant! We enjoyed a lovely 2 course dinner in the restaurant beforehand with very good service from every member of the team. - Do try and get tickets - it’s a truly great show!

Great experience! Fun for all the family! Our family watched Jack and the beanstalk and it was amazing! There was jokes for kids and adults! Ice cream and drinks were reasonably priced aswell!

Newbury's Corn Exchange is an absolute gem and a real treasure trove of different genres. From the classical piano recitals during the world class Newbury Spring Festival, to the Christmas panto, family shows during school holidays, comedy clubs and touring musical shows, there is something for everyone and the seating is such that everybody has a great view of the stage. We are so lucky to have this venue in the heart of our lovely market town.

Brilliant theatre in Newbury been going for many years.
