Paul & his son fitted our wood burning stove a couple of years ago. We started off wanting to replace an open gas fire and had a few other firms come out to look & quote - they all wanted to upsell the job in some way - told us the hearth was too small - wrong material, etc. (HETAS regulations actually contradicted their claims), others couldn't recommend a stove that would fit or cited non-existent problems like the fireplace surround being the wrong material, so would be damaged by heat, etc. When Paul came to survey, gave us a great recommendation for a quality stove - the Peanut 3, fits like a glove and puts out great heat. 2-years on no issues with the existing hearth or surround. There were some issues with the way the existing chimney was constructed but they worked hard and didn't use it as an excuse to drive up costs, just got it done - even making a custom piece to link the stove to the chimney liner. Very pleased.

Paul is incredibly professional and a pleasure to deal with. He has swept our chimneys and installed a fireplace over the last few months and has competed all jobs to an excellent standard and for a fair price. He is efficient, courteous and thorough leaving the lounge exactly how he found it and the chimney in a perfect state. This time he even carried out a small repair we needed with no fuss.
