“Rehabilitation and Training is run by retired Police Dog Handler Steve Hutley, who has over twenty years of experience working with all dogs, from puppies to foreign rescue dogs. He completed a 13-week initial Police Dog Handling training course; the dog and handler qualify for their National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) General Purpose Licence. Steve aims to get the dog owner to change their behaviour, ultimately changing their dog's behaviour. Steve is also an approved dog trainer and a qualified Canine Body Language Instructor with the Dog Training College. He has appeared on TV several times, helping and advising on many dog-related issues. He has attended many dog training seminars around the country, conducted by some of the world’s most esteemed dog trainers and behaviourists, such as Victoria Stilwell, the well-known author and presenter of the TV show ‘It’s Me or the Dog.’ Using positive reward training techniques, Steve teaches what he calls 'The Nucleus of Dog Training.' This aims to teach owners how to communicate with their dogs to achieve what they want in this confusing 'human world,'.”
