Helen in the office has been a star. My father is vulnerable/elderly with Parkinson's Disease and I needed to replace his broken tumble dryer. I called Appliance Dr on the phone to ascertain if it could be repaired and Helen talked me through basic checks including emptying the water and cleaning the filter. Helen took the trouble of searching for the serial number on her system and was able to tell me they'd supplied dad with the tumble dryer 9 years previous. Weighing up the cost of call out/parts and age of the machine we decided to go for a new one. Helen gave me a tour of the machines with the simplest controls for dad and was kind enough to arrange delivery for a day when I could work from home. I received a call that day with a time slot as promised. They took away the old machine and tested the new one to make sure it was operational. The two installers who arrived were kind enough to look at dad's broken gas hob (30 years old) and took measurements to take back to the office to look into a replacement. Helen then sent me a quote by text and we agreed to a model with a safety mechanism in case dad forgot to turn the gas off. Install was great very tidy and I was sent photos by WhatsApp by Appliance Doctor as I don't live with dad. They even called me to flag a couple of concerns they had about dad's odd behaviour during the install which meant we identified a welfare visit was needed. I was looking for a reliable repair service near me, as our fridge freezer wasn’t keeping items cold. Dave text me back very quickly and arranged a day to pop in to have a look. He arrived very promptly as arranged and found that we’ll need a new Fridge Freezer, as the coolant had leaked. But luckily, Dave was able to advise on the best replacement within our budget and he’ll be able to fit our new one once it arrives. Dave was very helpful and friendly, very knowledgeable and has years of experience. Price was very good and we will be using his services again. We would definitely recommend Compton Appliances for your repair or replacement needs, and we’ll be getting our new appliance a in a few days. Thank you Dave

What can I say ? Our Dishwasher was making ominous noises, so I Googled repairers in my area. Contacted, someone, who I later knew as Dave, he called the following day, fixed our machine for a very reasonable, on line charge. Dave is a sole operator, and very personable, easy to chat to and knows his stuff. I have no hesitation at all, in recommending Compton Appliances.

Extremely quick response, diagnosed and rectified the issue within the hour. Exceptional service, would happily recommend and would be first port of call of any future issues.
