Absolutely Bestest Chippy In Barnsley, Food Always Piping Hot, Always More Than Enough To Go Around Everyone, Proper Cod Fish, Crispy Batter, Golden Chips, Best Gravy Just Like Mi Muvver Used To Make, They Close After 3pm Saturday Closed Sundays And Monday's You Can Order Online or Over Fone n Call In Friendly Staff, Clean Everywhere Inside And Out, Sometimes You Might Have To Queue That's Cause This Place Is Best Of Old Barnsley.

I used their website for a click and collect order. I used a special offer, haddock and chips £8.95. The fish was huge! Absolutely DELICIOUS! Also, I'm allergic to maize and corn so it was really nice to have fish in batter maize-free! Mushy peas were a bit too runny, so take note. The sachets of Heinz tomato ketchup were great too. If I'm ever in the area, I'll be back. My order was ready as soon as I walked in too! There was a big crowd too, definitely popular and not surprised why. Definitely 5 stars! I found this through Google maps and reviews.

Really great little chippy. Reasonable prices, good size portions and quality fish. Giving the name of the boat and where the days fish was caught was a really nice touch too.

Good food sausage in batter me and cousin. Great good value I hope all-day special must not go up in price as we will not be able to get it but is delicious good food good staff.

Really good fish and chips, well worth the value. Friendly staff and quick service, would recommend calling.

Just been to Zante for two weeks and called here after landing, just as we got back into Barnsley. I had Donner Kebab and chips. Best meal of the whole fortnight.

First time there for me. I wasn't disappointed at all. You know its going to be good when people are queueing through the door at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. The specials menu looked amazing value for money. A huge portion for the money. All freshly cooked. Really friendly staff who talked me through what I could have. Tasted as good as it looked. Struggled to finish it all. I Will definitely return and have no problem recommending this chip shop. A good chippy is hard to find. And this is a good traditional chippy.

A spotlessly clean shop selling really nice fish and chips. Served by efficient and friendly staff, who shared a joke whilst remaining professional. I will definitely return.

Super service. Nice to see freshly caught UK coast cod and UK grown potatoes with no GM produce. Our Emergency Service on duty personnel are catered for as priority if queuing, which is how it should be. I'm vegan so was actually buying for family so can't comment further, but good ethics on fresh local produce.
