Came here on a Friday evening. You put your name down and the kind waitresses will let you know the estimated wait time. We were told 30 minutes but was around 20-25. We ordered the catch of the day and the cod and chips. We ordered some small sides such as peas, pickle bread and butter roll (the latter was forgotten but I won't dwell on that). The food arrived quick and fresh. Up there with one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The unlimited chips were a bonus. We ordered their choc ice cream because you just can't end a meal without something sweet. Didn't come with my flake but again really happy with the food and friendly service and highly recommend anyone to come here.

Recently visited Chez Fred on a day trip to Bournemouth after searching for the best place for fish and chips in town... we were not disappointed! We arrived at around 16:50 on a sunny Saturday, and the restaurant was almost full. We were warmly greeted and given a choice of the available tables (a nice touch!). Once seated we were attended to quickly and put our orders in. The restaurant got pretty busy while we were there, and the takeaway side seemed pretty busy too, but the atmosphere remained pleasant. Our food arrived within a reasonable time and was absolutely amazing! Everything was piping hot. The chips were super crispy and lovely when doused in salt and vinegar. The cod was extremely flaky and meaty, and the batter was wonderfully crisp and not at all greasy. The curry sauce was also very good! We were asked if we wanted extra chips (which are unlimited!) and were happily given an extra bowl. All the staff were super smiley and happy to help, checking everything with our meal was okay partway throught. I would highly recommend Chez Fred to anyone wanting some amazing fish and chips - it is definitely worth the walk away from the main town.

Came here for dinner during the air festival. Despite having a queue, and a busy restaurant inside. They were exceptionally fast. Our food order reached in 10 minutes. Our waiter Charlotte was amazing. She hosted us really well which made our experience here better. Prices are on the average side as well. Portion is huge.Would definitely return here.

We had the pleasure of dining at Harry Ramsden’s on our small trip to Bournemouth, and our experiences were truly exceptional! The food was utterly delicious, with every dish we ordered being cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. We were particularly impressed by the outstanding service provided by Megan (please accept our apologies if the spelling is incorrect), whose warm and courteous demeanor made our visit even more enjoyable. Her attention to detail and hospitality were truly commendable. We highly recommend Harry Ramsden’s as a must-visit destination and look forward to returning soon to savor more of their delectable cuisine.

Amazing! What a lovely afternoon tea at Harry Ramsdens, Bournemouth. A change from sandwiches and cakes. The food was hot and very tasty. The staff were warm and friendly, well presented and service was fantastic. Well done team.

Travelled for a weekend in Bournemouth and discovered this place, very tasty and fresh fish and chips. The staff looked after us and I recommend you get your beach day lunch or dinner from here.

100% will be coming back here with the family. Lovely guys, great customer service and clean shop. Good large portions and best bit, halal.

There is a couple of tables and chairs but I took my food to takeaway. Absolutely delicious and good value too. The battered cod was tasty; batter was crispy and the flesh of the fish soft and unctuous. Defo worth it. Really sweet young man behind the counter serving.
