“Towngate Fisheries is an award-winning fish and chips restaurant in Bradford. Mark Drummond is the owner, and Joanne is the manager of the restaurant. All dishes are prepared with great skill and passion by experienced fryers. Their fryers also undergo allergen awareness training, and at least one trained first aider is always on duty each shift. Towngate Fisheries serves fresh, sustainably sourced fish wrapped in crispy batter, alongside golden chips. They also cater for parties or events. Fantastic service. Zenib kept me entertained and had a lovely smile on her face when I walked in. She was very respectful and helpful and made sure everything was on point. Have to say her personality does make the shop bright. Great food and service.

Lady serving us was very friendly, gave us a baby chair.. cleaned the spilled drinks. And was very supportive.

Our customer assistant Shona was fantastic. Very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a great lunchtime outing. Highly recommend for the best fish and chips in Bradford. Well done.

TOWNGATE FISHERIES REVIEWS

I bought four portions of fish and chips from Towngate as my brother was visiting from Australia and we all commented on how tasty the chips were - like home-made and not greasy at all. The fish too was chunky and the portions were generous. What I really liked was the fact biodegradable boxes are used which means food can be eaten straight from their instead of trying to separate several fish from each other and sharing chips out equally if they were wrapped in paper! Well done Towngate.

Excellent local chippy as always. The new Southern Fried Chicken range is a must-try too. I'd recommend ordering online for a pick up slot on busy nights like Friday and Saturday as you can just go and get your order straightaway instead of waiting in the super long queues! Fish and chips cooked in beef dripping and done to perfection.

Great food & great deals too. The staff are lovely, have been going to this Fish & Chips since a toddler. But have not been for years. Now will be my goto pick up when visiting the parents in Yorkshire. Other counties need to start asking people if they would like scraps(crispy batter) with there Fish & Chips. Yum.

Wow! Best scallops i’ve ever had. Not a massive eater so i only get something small from takeaways but wish i had ordered far more! Best i’ve had from anywhere. Very friendly staff aswell, Young lad was very friendly and kept great conversation throughout. recommend this place to everyone will 100% be back.

Excellent fish and chips..always. Years later, still as good as before. The staff are friendly & always attentive.
