I've never been to the Stansfield Arms before. But straight off the bat, I have to say the staff were great, attentive, and smiling and never in a rush. My Starter was Muscles in a white source, but I like my muscles just plain steamed, which the chef very obligingly did for me. My main course was Steak&Ale Pie, with a choice of green vegetables, beautifully cooked parsnips, served with deep golden brown chips, along with a rich beef gravy. I'd say the chips were the best I've ever eaten. Coming back to the pie, contained in crusty pastry, the steak was tender, no suspicious chewy bits either. The pie was superb. Our experience at the Stansfield Arms was excellent, service and food excellent. We'll certainly be coming here again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous pub, warm welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We went for the Sunday roast and were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the staff were pleasant and extremely accommodating. Pet friendly and suitable for all sizes of parties. 100% recommended and we will definitely be returning in the near future.

We had a family meal on Sunday which consisted of 9 people, one a toddler. The table was in the right part of the pub to allow the little one to have some room. Service was excellent although we had to wait quite a while for our food to arrive. Two people had the Sunday roast and said it was excellent. My turbot was well cooked and the smashed potatoes really tasty. Nice atmosphere and nice surroundings, will be back sometime.

Lovely village pub. We were passing late afternoon and called in on the spur of the moment. Food, service and atmosphere great. Staff friendly and pleasant. Food very nice and a good range to choose from. Would definitely recommend and would call in again when in the area. Nice outdoor seating areas too, to the rear overlooking a cricket pitch.

Absolutely incredible Sunday lunch today. The Yorkshire pudding was huge fluffy, the beef was perfectly cooked - medium which just melted in my mouth, it was so tender. Veg cooked perfectly just the right bite. Service was of a high standard from all staff both waiting and behind the bar. We love the fact they use the local dairy farms ice cream-great choice of flavours.

We visited the area from Leicestershire and met some friends who recommended this place. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely welcome with fabulous hospitality and service. The home cooked food was delicious and great value. We visited on a Monday and received a free desert with our main meal. The hosts were a lovely family and are certainly making a success of running this pub. We will certainly be back when the opportunity arrises.

Great place to be. There was only one small issue with my meal recently. Ordered a fish and chips, and received a Putin instead. Ate it anyway.

Come here for the first time as it was my birthday n we was visiting family too and the food is amazing even the vegetarian option looks really lovely too and the staff are very friendly n are happy to help you with anything

We love City Vaults, it’s our go to place for family meals and special occasions. The staff are lovely and we love the food. Susan the manager is great and is so accommodating even when we bring our little ones. Thank you so much!!
