Love this fish and chip shop. Travelling from London to visit a family member is always topped off with a trip to Barneys. Great portions, great quality, great service. Love it.

Have been holding back as every time I find good local fish and chips the standard drops. Tonight however I just had to share the fish and chips at the Rumbles Fish Bar Godmanchester. Consistently excellent with great service although it can be a wait if you go too early and it gets crowded. Chips are crisp with good flavour and the fish is enormous as standard crispy batter and good flavour too. There are also lots of other options including pies, burgers, nuggets and not forgetting mushy peas. Not quite finished as they also offer a large range of kebabs and they look to be of the same high standard although to date I have not tried one. Always full of regular customers that to me speaks volumes for good food love by all. One warning however standard portions are large, so if you eat like a budgie you may want to think twice or share with a friend. Keep up the good food and thank you all.

Enormous portions, the batter was ridiculously crispy and the cod was perfectly flaky. The grilled halloumi was incredible. First time customer last night, now a regular customer if that's the standard of food. Just excellent.
