MURGATROYDS REVIEWS

I recently visited MURGATROYDS and had the fish and chips, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were golden and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted so fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. If you're looking for top-notch fish and chips, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem this place is, after a 2 hour drive on our motorbike in the rain we wasn't disappointed. From walking in through the door the staff were so helpful and tentative. A little wait for our food but it had been freshly cooked. You could taste the fish was very fresh. It is well worth a visit we will be returning for sure if I could have given Murgatroyds 10 stars for each category I would have done.

Absolutely beautiful. I was recommended this place by the ‘fish and chip appreciation’ society - who advised this is the place to get the best fish and chips in the whole of England and boy, they were not wrong. The fish, chips and mushy peas were amazing! The best I have ever had - God bless my belly. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I will be back.

Lovely fish and chip shop with a great restaurant upstairs to boot. There was a queue to get in and you had to wait on the staircase but it was the busiest bit of lunch. Once seated we were served quickly and the food came quickly too. All in I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a classic fish and chips.

Absolute top notch food. Service was ok. Friendly, but a little slow for a chippy imho. Had to remind the fella I wanted scraps (he’d forgotten) had to remind the fella I wanted ketchup (he’d forgotten) was not disappointed with the fish chips mushy peas etc for the 3 of us at all. Would definitely buy from there again.

Fabulous fish and chips. The restaurant had a fabulous lift for disabled people and the restaurant was wheelchair accessible. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

A delightful spot full of charm and character. The staff service was phenomenal and the food was outstanding. And the speed we were served at was impeccable. I can't recommend it enough.

Best chippy in West Yorkshire. Only place other than the coast qhere the fish can be trusted to always be fresh. Great food and great service. Light bite is big size fish chips peas/curry bread butter and drink.

Super, I bought it to eat at home, the portions are huge and I couldn't eat it all. The service was five stars, very friendly people.
