“Mumtaz Leeds is famous for their authentic Kashmiri cuisine. The restaurant has a high-ceilinged space with chandeliers and views over the water for classic Kashmiri dishes. The restaurant has an Asian wedding venue, conference, and prayer rooms. Their private function room can accommodate your wedding celebration or nikah ceremony with space for up to 80 guests. Their spacious function room can comfortably accommodate your wedding guests with access to family-friendly facilities, including a baby-changing room, children’s high chairs (on request), accessible toilets, and a secluded prayer room with ablution facilities. All their dishes are prepared using only the finest ingredients and Mother’s original methods. Their whole roasted leg of lamb is served with Kabuli pilau, handmade gravy, chips, salad, and naans, and it will be served at your table within 45 minutes. They serve great cocktails and vegan dishes and offer free Wi-Fi.

I really enjoyed my Iftar experience at Mumtaz. The dates and soup etc. were a really thoughtful touch for Muslim customers. The mixed grill was nice but I particularly enjoyed the butter chicken and garlic naan. The service was really organised around Iftar time and I was really impressed.

The best curry I've ever had by far! A friend introduced me to this hidden diamond a few months ago! The food is 10/10. The staff are very attentive. No complaints, only praise. Bear in mind they do not serve alcohol if you like a beer with your curry!

Had a family get together, the platter was amazing. Staff were friendly right from the parking lot, service couldn't be faulted. Very welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be returning soon. L was also blown away by the bill, reasonably priced.

Hands down the best food ive ever eaten!! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the taste was sensational. I could literally eat here every day and still be amazed at the flavours. No other curry restaurant even comes close to these guys, keep up the tremendous work!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Food is delicious at Akbar's, with the Chicken & Prawn Special Balti being one of favourites. The Family Naan is also a must have. Service is friendly and usually quick, even though the restaurant is busy most of the times. Fair prices for great food. Will certainly return the next time I'm in Leeds and craving for a curry.

This was my first time visit to Akbars Leeds and I think it went well by all means. Lovely, pretty, handsome & very friendly staff. The fastest service ever in UK and chefs has done a great job. Thank you Akbars & see later guys.
