“Nick’s Plaice was founded by Nick Panayis. The restaurant was honoured to be voted Northampton Chronicle & Echo's Chippy of the Year for 2019. The shop's simple philosophy is to serve great food with great service. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to serve with a smile on their faces. Their fish is served in a box with a slice of lemon and homemade tartar sauce. Their chips are always wrapped separately. Their potatoes are world-class, and their sauces are homemade. The only place in Northampton which sells Gluten free fish and chips, which is fantastic. The staff are friendly and the quality of the food is excellent, would recommend anyone purchasing a meal from here.

This is the best chip shop in Northampton The food is always made freshly whilst I wait and the owners are lovely I love going here for food and a little convo whilst I wait.

Pleasant food, ordered fish and chips, portion size deserved money we paid, chef brought us an extra sauce, which was curry, we never ate that combination, it took it to the next level. Recommended and keep going.

Popped into Nick's Plaice for a fish and chip meal deal this afternoon. It was delicious - the fish was freshly cooked and you can choose small or large we also had tartare sauce and mushy peas. Will visit again when I'm in the area.

Wow .. service with a smile and fantastic food too. Superb curry sauce fresh tartae sauce and prices are spot on.

I’ve been to Nicks Plaice twice now. I wasn’t just lucky the first time. It was 10/10 both times. Best chips I’ve tasted in years. And the best chip shop curry sauce I’ve ever tasted . I went at lunchtime on both occasions and bought a child’s sausage, chips & curry sauce meal. First visit I had beans which were fresh and & cooked nicely.It comes with a cold mini fruit shoot& lolly in a McDonalds style box. Sausage was larger & tastier than your average chippy all this for £3.80. With free ketchup. I felt guilty paying that for it I enjoyed it so much. Will be back to get more for the family as well as my top notch bargain lunch deals.
