Exceptional service from Davina! From the moment we were seated until the end of our meal, she exuded warmth and professionalism. Davina's attentiveness was truly commendable, as she anticipated our needs without us having to ask. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she guided us through the options with patience and enthusiasm. Davina's friendly demeanor made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She is a true asset to the restaurant, and I would highly recommend her service to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Absolutely amazing food, very much worth the price. We even took a little box home as it was too much! It was my birthday and although we were too full to have a dessert the lovely waiter Ollie came out with this little surprise which really was a cherry on the cake. The kitchen staff made our evening wonderful with food, and Ollie has given us a remarkable service starting with a great table, through his warm smile and ending with a little sweet touch. Thank you.

Excellent service from the moment we walked through the door till the moment we left, all the staff seemed so friendly and helpful. The starters were very tasty and good size portions, the main course’s were cooked to perfection with plenty on the plate, and the coffee and mini desserts were delicious.

We had a lovely lunch here today. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was buzzing. Lovely food as always - my rump steak was perfectly cooked and only £9.99 on the lunctime menu! I chose to have a salad instead of chips, and it was really good. Angie looked after us brilliantly as she always does. She is a credit to The Turnpike and the Beefeater brand. Thanks to Mark for the fab liqueur coffees.

Came in for breakfast takeaway 3/7/24 ready for our long journey home. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Making our experience a very positive one. He was very happy and chatty. Couldn't do enough to help us. Understood we wanted to be on the move so sorted our takeaway very quickly. Delicious food (Thankyou kitchen) Thankyou so much.

Great meal. The food was amazing, can’t recommend the triple cooked chips enough. Our server Meg was brilliant making sure we had all the dips and refills we needed. Brilliant restaurant.

HOPS AND CHOPS REVIEWS

Excellent meal there last night. Whilst not particularly busy (mid-week, middle of the month) the staff were friendly and attentive and clearly knew the quality of the food that was about to be served. Korean Pork Belly to start and it was everything you want pork belly to be. Ribeye to follow which was cooked perfectly and might have been the biggest 12 oz steak I've had. Definitely up there with some if the best steaks of had and that's against steaks from a Jason Atherton restaurant and the world famous steaks served in San Sebastian. Great sides with ginormous onion rings and a great take on a Caesar salad. Washed down with a good glass of Primitivo. Did I have room for desert? No. Did I order dessert, yes! Love's creme brulee with rose jam. Excellent finish to a great meal and an excellent evening catching up with friends. Top effort all round and will be very happy to head back very soon.

Best steak I’ve ever had- 100% better than the well known steak restaurant. Nduja butter was amazing as was the chorizo and manchengo mac and cheese. Will definitely be back.
