Tracy has been an absolute star throughout dealing with my husbands funeral from start to finish even to the funeral tea nothing was too much trouble, she was compassionate, respectful and caring to us and dealt with all our details of what we wanted and made it a perfect send off even the interment of ashes was thoughtfully done it lifted the pressure off us during a very emotional time even a hug when we needed it, also a huge thank you to Benet Waterman Celebrant who spoke with genuine compassion and respect gave a beautiful Order of Service, we as a family would highly recommend Final Journey and Benet and use again. Tracy arranged my dad’s funeral a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be anymore grateful for how the day went. Before the day, we were explained exactly how it would go and gave us an opportunity to tweak any of the plans if needed. But Tracy is incredibly knowledgable so we felt so at ease with the planning of the funeral. On the day, Tracy was there to guide us through it, ensuring there were no hiccups. Tracy then also arranged the interment, which was a small private ceremony that was perfect for dad. We as a family have used Tracy previously when my grandma passed away, which was during Covid, so restrictions were in place. But even then, Tracy ensured we had a day that felt comfortable and fitting to celebrate the person my grandma was. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

My mum arranged most parts of her funeral with Tracy before she passed; Mum took comfort in knowing she would be in safe hands. The options Tracy gave my Mum were like no other funeral director...even a gold hearse was a possibility, although Mum settled on a stunning horse drawn carriage with lavender plumes as her favourite colour. Tracy put us in touch with an amazing celebrant, Veronika who actually then officiated my wedding a few years later. Nothing was ever too much trouble with Tracy, ensuring all our questions were answered and our Mums final wishes were met. I had even created a video reel of photos of my Mum over the years, which Tracy arranged to be shown on a projector during the service. It was a beautiful, bespoke service. Thank you, Tracy & Veronika, for making what should have been the hardest day of my life, a day I will instead look back on with pride and grattitude knowing my Mum truly had the send off she so deserved and wanted.

Tracey and her husband are amazing at their profession, they have made one of the most difficult times of my life, that little bit easier. My Dad didn't want nothing fancy or any fuss, Tracey was able to make this happen for him. She made the coffin exactly how he wanted it. She looked after the remaining family and made sure we got exactly what we wanted for the service. Nothing seemed a problem and she was so easy to talk to. My Dad was truly looked after in their care, I would definitely recommend Final Journey to anyone. George Hudson & Sons funeral directors provided an outstanding service, we were unfortunate enough to lose two family members within a year in Carlisle, with many of the family living a distance away. George Cullen in particular helped to add the personal touch to both services, and to say he hasn't worked there for long, as a young man himself, he is exceptional at dealing with family members in times of loss and grief, to ensure that deceased relatives/friends get the send off and memorial they deserve. I cannot thank or recommend these kind and compassionate people enough for the help they provided not only during last year's service, but for their outstanding performance over the last two weeks when we faced challenges in trying to organise a service only held yesterday.
