“Hillside Golf Club is designed by renowned architect Fred Hawtree. The club has a tradition of hosting prestigious professional and amateur events, including the 1982 PGA Championship. Excellent, everything about Hillside is first class. From the moment you walk through the door of the clubhouse you know you're in one of the best golf clubs in the UK. The bar staff were welcoming and polite, the pro shop staff couldn't have been more helpful. The practice facilities were first class, then the course, WOW!!. If you love golf you have DEFINITELY got to play Hillside.

The best golf course I've ever played!! Just a fantastic day, I can't wait to go back again. The course is superb!! All the staff at the club are so friendly and helpful, I simply can not fault the place. If you get the chance to play there you will not be disappointed.

Excellent golf course and top notch facilities. You will need to be pretty straight off the tee because some of the fairways are tight, but all in all, one of the best courses I have played in the North West. A+++.

Simply stunning, love this place. Course immaculate, greens perfect,.bunkers tough ha ha . That's just the course, then you have happy staff, well dressed and very professional, fabulous food at very reasonable prices. Clubhouse fresh, smart and so clean. And to finish the members were very friendly. Play here and then tell me I'm not 100% right.

What a great course! Played in the height of the heatwave and the course condition was absolutely fantastic and a credit to the greens staff. Superb practice facilities with a decent range and top shirt hame practice area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend S&A highly enough!

Great golf course in excellent condition. Some very challenging holes but still very playable. Friendly staff at clubhouse provided a quality snack in preparation of round two.

HESKETH GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

Loved every minute of playing this course. It was in remarkably good condition despite the time of year and significant rainfall during the last week. Challenging and flattering in equal measure, there are some really memorable features on this course. Certainly one to consider if you're in the area. We found fellow players polite and friendly, and the lady in the pro shop was very helpful too. Already looking forward to another visit.

What a great course and what a great welcome. It is a pleasure to play a course which is challenging but does not overly punish a loose shot. Greens are true. We had an excellent meal in a stunning clubhouse. Strongly recommended.

Friendly people, the rough was tough, fairways great, most greens were good, a couple had some issues. Great experience.
