This place is amazing! I've been there three times now, and every single visit just blows me away! The island is so cool because it's connected by a narrow strip of land that disappears at high tide, making it feel like a part-time island. The lighthouse there is just fascinating. It was built in 1898 and has such a rich history—it was actually in use until 1984. Now, the North Tyneside Council manages it, and they've turned the old keepers' houses into a really cool visitor center. The Nature Reserve there is just a delight. There's a rock pool area, cliff-top grassland, and a beach with newly established wetland habitats. Cycling there is a fantastic way to take in the scenery. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was spending time in the bird-watching room. It was just amazing and really encouraged me to learn more about the rare birds found in the area. It's also wonderful to see so many kids participating in educational programs, adding to the lively and learning-focused atmosphere

Interesting part of the Whitley Bay coast to visit at most times of day. Check the times of low tide if you want to walk across the Causeway to the Lighthouse itself. Even if you cannot reach the Lighthouse, you can still enjoy rewarding views of the coast in both directions. You can observe many seals either sitting up on the rocks surrounding the lighthouse or swimming in the water nearby. The lighthouse itself is a great place to visit with it's high white tower guiding shipping safely along the coast.

Check Tide times before visiting ,car park is now card only. Keep away from the rocks as it disturbs the seals. Beautiful location . Lighthouse steps can be accessed for a small fee, 90 steps but only when volunteers are present.

Here for the Meatloaf show, which was brilliant, and it was the first time I have been here. What a fantastic little theatre we'll set out and disabled friendly. Top staff that were helpful and friendly, I will definitely be coming back for other shows. Returned for another show, Get it On, and it was great, plus it is still setting high standards.

80s live tour was absolutely awesome here a few weeks ago. Booking was easy and it was well organised. Great atmosphere and music. Worth every penny! My daughter lost her purse and a lady who worked there found it and it was returned to her thankfully. Honest and lovely staff.

What a lovely venue. Great bar. Good access and parking. We sat halfway back. Seats were comfortable and good views.
