I had a lovely walk here this week with my dog. First time there and I'm impressed. Gated all around although the main gate was left open...dog friendly otherwise. There is a good size field as well as pathways through trees and a river. Lots of bins and the area is looked after well. There is a fantastic park there also gated as well as a cafe and toilets. Toilets were clean. There is a skating park and some other areas for kids....I'd highly recommend a visit.

A lovely place to come for a walk or picnic, it has police security cameras as well as panic button if anyone is concerned by being by yourself. 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month they have food/ craft events on as well as a cafe permanently open in the park. Across from the park there is the Hall Grounds, this is a lovely walk alongside the stream and takes you along the old Wallsend burn and an easy flat walk of a few kilometres.

A lovely park with so much to do. It's a bit muddy at the moment but still worth a visit. There's a lovely little cafe if you fancy a cuppa or want to buy food. We took a picnic, the first this year, we loved it.

We love this park. Always really clean and well taken care of. It's clear a lot of love is put into its upkeep and care. Lots of lovely looping trails, but can be very hilly and steep in places.I just wish dogs were made to be kept on leads because as a mom of two toddlers I don't appreciate dogs I don't know running up to my girls and getting in our personal space (licks to the face, muddy dogs brushing up against us, fast large dogs jumping up on us, etc.). We would much rather ask if a dog is friendly and have the owner's permission before encountering the dogs. We took our dad's nervous dog today and had to guide him away from several dogs who were off lead, their owners too far to pop them back on the lead (one owner didn't even appear to have one for his dog).Everyone in the park we've encountered has been really friendly. The cafe has delicious coffee, ice cream and snacks.

Lovely little park, ideal for taking the dog for a walk, also with a nice playground for kids. There is also a cafe with outside seating area and toilets.There is a small pond in the centre of the park and a bandstand. Plenty of seats and the park looks nice when all the flowers are in bloom.

Absolutely lovely park, nice little cafe that's not extortionatly priced. A little dog drinking area with bowls provided and poo bags available. A tap to fill your own bottle of water which is free and not too far from the beach.

My kids love this park unfortunately council choose the summer holidays to do ground work within actual kids park and the restrooms are never open making many parents including myself to have to leave after a certain length of time. When it's all up and running it's a really nice park to spend an afternoon.

With the new spanish city open it has brought alot of money back to whitley bay. We had a great day there. Had fish and chips then went to the arcade with my god son. It rained a little but nothing was going to spoil our day.

First return yesterday, since it reopened. They've got rid of a lot of sand areas that were previously there, but there is a lot more sand in one of the little play areas.
