'Ellenroad Engine House' is a national historic monument, and the trust is the legal guardian of the site. The building exhibits and organises the monthly steaming days when the Engine House is open to the public. It accommodated 99,756 mule spindles made by Platts of Oldham with drawing frames and carding machines. Light refreshments are available at the Engine House cafe. There is a picnic area with seating for your convenience. It affords free admission, and parking.

The Gracie Fields Theatre offers an exciting programme of events from rock, pop, jazz and classical music to comedy, drama, and dance. The Theatre also hosts to Rochdale Amateur Operatic Society and their wide variety of productions including Concerts, Plays, and Musicals. Several spaces are available for private hire, suitable for 2-688 guests. The flexible design of the auditorium adapted for all kinds of presentations, including touring plays, rock and pop shows. Seating is fixed in a graduated position ideal for theatre performances, lectures and presentations.
