“Fernhill Hotel is a unique family-owned business. Their breakfast is continental style and is an extra £7 per person per night. The breakfast menu includes a variety of yoghurts, bread, toast, crumpets, jams, croissants, muffins, cereals, beans, juices, and more. The beautifully converted farm buildings have excellent facilities for all guests and ample free private parking. This rustic, single-storey bed-and-breakfast in a converted stone barn is 2.4 miles from the Rochdale Pioneers Museum and 3.2 miles from the Rochdale train station. Fernhill Hotel offers a small shared kitchenette in the main building, available for all guests. It includes a fridge, microwave, plates, and crockery, perfect for preparing light meals or snacks during your stay.

WOW! Absolutely amazing bed and breakfast, situated in a beautiful location with magnificent views of hills and countryside. I received a professional, friendly, and 1st class service when I stayed here. My room was clean , and had everything needed for my week long stay. It was large with an ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was continental and offered a large array of choices to get me started for the day. I would definitely stay here again. Wonderful place.

One night was not enough here and after we had checked out, we booked again. Everything about this beautiful b&b is just amazing. The whole experience from start to finish was everything you’d want for the perfect break. The host Rob was wonderful and accommodating when I contacted with questions before the stay. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking (I have attached picture). The whole experience overall was incredible, tranquil and peaceful. And the room itself was clean, comfy and a home from home.

Beautiful views even in the pouring rain. Room was very clean and cosy and we were so astounded at the breakfast selection. Everything you could fancy for breakfast crumpets, various delicious breads, masses of cereals and delicious muffins. Fresh fruit, yoghurts and ham! Thank you.

Very comfortable bed room big, my biggest gripe is that you have to ask for the room to be made up. We asked for the towels to be changed and that's exactly what was done. Staff have been very helpful and always cheerful.

A great place to stay overnight.|The reception staff are friendly and knowledgable getting your visit off to a great start. Emmanuel and Michelle were both very helpful on this occasion.|The bedrooms are always immaculately clean and the beds are so comfortable.|Thank you.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location when travelling as just off the motorway. Comfortable room and the restaurant next door was simple but good. All in all great value stay.

HOLLINGWORTH LAKE GUEST HOUSE REVIEWS

I spent three nights in this perfectly located guest house, a couple of minutes walk to the edge of Hollingworth Lake, but quiet and peaceful. My large and spotless room had a very comfortable king size bed. Chris was welcoming and extremely helpful. Although breakfast wasn’t included, the room was refreshed daily with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. There are sufficient early-opening cafes a few minutes walk away if a substantial breakfast is required. I really can’t think of anything negative about this guest house or it’s host.

I’ve stayed at Hollingworth Lake Guesthouse a number of times now and it is my go to place to stay while I’m working in the area. Chris is the most welcoming and lovely host. The rooms are super cosy, warm and have everything you need and more. The beds are super comfy and facilities are provided to make a nice cuppa. Thank you Chris and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Highly recommended. Stayed here just 1 night whilst attending family funeral and was made to feel very welcome. Beautiful, clean and comfortable room and very friendly hosts. Hope to go back soon and explore a beautiful area.
