“Hough End Leisure Centre has a 25m six-lane swimming pool and a learner pool, a 90-station gym, two squash courts, a sauna and steam room, and a studio. Each week, they teach over 1000 children to swim through their Swim School Programme. The facility is equipped with the latest Technogym equipment, having over 100 stations of state-of-the-art gear. Hough End Leisure Centre has qualified fitness instructors who will guide clients through various courses to help them lose weight and tone up. Their pool is now operational, and their customer capacities have increased. They offer a wide range of memberships with budget-friendly options. Their studio hosts an extensive range of fitness classes, with top-of-the-range equipment and top-class instructors.

“East Manchester Leisure Centre has a modern gym, a fitness class studio, and two swimming pools. They offer a variety of affordable memberships to suit everyone. Each week, they help over 1,500 adults and kids enjoy swimming through their swim school program. The main pool is a great eight-lane, 25-meter pool. The gym is fully equipped and air-conditioned, with a wide range of fitness machines. The fitness class studio has a diverse selection of classes with high-quality equipment and skilled instructors. The smaller pool is perfect for family and leisure swimming. The centre also hosts the City of Manchester Water Polo Team and the Manchester Sharks LGBTQ Polo Team, and is the main training facility for these teams. There are car parking and bike storage facilities available.

2025 Update: East Manchester Leisure Centre features changing places facilities, a lift, disabled toilets, wheelchair access, and more.”

“Moss Side Leisure Centre offers a modern gym with a dedicated area for strength and conditioning. The fitness class program includes a variety of options like pilates, power pumps, circuits, and more. The two sports halls at the centre provide space for activities such as badminton, netball, volleyball, football, and boccia. They offer classes for everyone, ranging from high-energy dance and cardio to strength, conditioning, and mind-body classes. The centre also houses Hulme High Street Library, which has a great selection of books, free internet computers, Wi-Fi, printing, photocopying, and health information points. The gym is equipped to support all stages of the client's fitness journey, and there are various football pitches available to book at the leisure centre. Excellent leisure and facilities for our community in Old Moat. Good to see the new football pitches and leisure centre extension open in May 2024.

A top community sports centre. Great for all types of people. Regardless of level, ability or sport.

Wonderful staff clean. Great for kids swimming. The sauna and steam are fantastic.

Lovely Leisure Centre, parking at the rear, clean, friendly helpful staff and lots of activities to do there. A big swimming pool, gym and a cardiac rehabilitation class, which is run by Jane Whittaker and Emma ! Which I attended for the first time today.

Brilliant community gym with a selection of activities for everyone of all ages and background. I do 5 classes a week with Andrea and she is literally the best instructor I have ever had (in 20years) they have a great selection of classes for all abilities. Mixed ability classes, great friendly atmosphere. All ages and all backgrounds…it’s actually a really nice way of socializing and meeting new friends, I feel other reviews have misunderstood her as she has one bug bare which is lateness and chatting in class but that is with everyone for the better of the class. She is far from rude or offensive. Overall great gym! Highly recommended.

I have been going to Andrea’s spin classes for about a year and a half and I think she’s absolutely fab!! Welcoming, encouraging, supportive m, friendly & inclusive. I get so much out of her classes and she makes me feel valued and included. I couldn’t recommend her any more highly.

I just do the classes at the gym, and Andrea’s classes are amazing and she’s made me fall in love with fitness, the music the vibe the people 10/10.
