What an experience today at Alexandros! From the moment we stepped in, it felt like we were transported to Greece on a summer holiday. The ambiance and decor were so authentically Greek that we almost forgot we were still in England.

We had just finished our hike of Hadrian's Wall and we're looking for a lite but tasty meal. Wow what a fantastic place. Small but the staff had everything under control. Great food, great service.....if you're looking for a nice sunny change. This place is the place to be. Reservation recommend.

Family run restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Good choice and variety on the menu, we want for the Meze and it did not disappoint. The food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked and just kept on coming! If we are ever back up here we will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Me and my other half had wonderful haloumi and chicken pita wraps for our lunch - absolutely fantastic, filled to the brim and certainly kept us going for the rest of our trip round Carlisle! I had the haloumi wrap with lovely peppers, red onions, tomato, cucumber, tzatziki and chips. And the sprinkling of oregano made it extra delicious thank you to the lovely staff, I've wanted to try one of these wraps for ages, and wasn't disappointed! Will certainly come back, and recommend this for anyone who loves Greek food.

Outstanding service! Lovely people and high quality food. Quick and very reasonably priced with very generous portions. Definitely a regular stop for me. Highly recommended!

ANATOLIA TURKISH MEZ BAR & RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Last minute booking for a meal here & they were really helpful in fitting us in. The food was delicious, full of flavour & we struggled to finish the whole plate as there was so much. The service was pretty quick, polite & friendly, all at a reasonable price too. We would definitely visit again if we're in the area. The only gripe I would say was the sound of the waitress boots marching up & down as she served other guests, it sounded like a full on march was taking place each time she passed, maybe something a little softer under foot may be more appropriate for the ears.

We had a really nice lunch there and really enjoyed it. We ordered Sucuk and Saiara Boregi for starters and Chicken Kebab and Minced lamb Pide for mains, which were very tasty. I especially liked their homemade chilli and garlic sauces which were very delicious. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Superb food! We've been four times now, and every time has been a great experience. Generous portions of delicious food. We had the cold mezze for a starter, and it was wonderful – a big platter heaped with different dips and a decent basket of lovely bread. Then veggie kebab and iskander for mains – they're both so good, we keep ordering the same thing! The staff are really friendly and know what they're doing, and the place generally has a good vibe.
