Great pub, bit of a tardis to be honest, it looks pretty small from the outside but it's got a few floors, loads of seating for food. We called in on the off chance of grabbing some decent food and it did NOT disappoint. Food was delicious, service was quick, Staff were lovely what more can you ask for. Interior downstairs was a bit quirky, it was alot quiter than upstairs, which was an added bonus. 2 Sunday dinners and a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream to share, 2 pints of larger and 1 pint of coke cost 50 quid. Only downside for me, was there wasn't enough gravy.

Excellent food! The fish and chips was very good nice crispy batter and proper chunky chips. The key lime pie was the best dessert ever. Staff brilliant very friendly. Excellent beer choices too.

Never had a bad experience here. Great food and service every single time. Fish and chips and the chilli chicken burger.

When we are en route to Scotland or in the area we always eat here. It's only about a mile from the M6 on the A7 going into Carlisle. The staff are friendly and professional and the place is very clean and well looked after. The prices are very reasonable and portions very generous, the specials especially the skillet ones Gammon and the hunters chicken were delicious. My wife left in her back behind and a very courteous member of staff ran outside to find us and hand it back. Great service can't recommend enough! Parking: Amble free parking.

Amazing service, amazing food and really great value, highly recommend if you are in the area. Great restaurant all staff great with our kids Sarah was very good and really worked hard and extremely friendly..

Stopped here on our way to Scotland. The food was delicious I recommend the full rack of ribs. All the staff were lovely and friendly.

Had a great Breakfast here.i got the large Breakfast and found it big enough for me and I'm a big eater. For once even the beans were quite warm which is a rarety for a wetherspoons Breakfast.will definitely come back.

Great pub. Went there before going to Carlisle races and went back there afterwards. Handy for train station. The only drawback was - as with many Weatherspoons - is that the toilets are upstairs.

Great food, friendly helpful staff, clean well equipped toilets and lovely big seating area out back. Huge pub.
