My boys were complete beginners in playing the guitar and I was struggling to find a tutor. Thankfully Vicky at VT Music School was highly recommended and since finding Vicky the boys’ love for the guitar has grown and their confidence has soared. Vicky is a fantastic tutor, perfectly combining teaching an instrument with making learning fun. Her approach is always encouragement, focussing on progression at a speed manageable for the boys. I love watching her teach and I love watching my boys look up to her. When she duets with them it literally blows me away, that she could do so much for them in a short space of time. Her holiday workshops are also exemplary. Perfect length of time, perfect activities and 2 extremely happy boys, who are now part of a ‘Superband’! We’ve been blessed since meeting Vicky and are grateful to have her. Thank you for all you continue to do.

My children love their lessons, they love learning with VT music school, high quality lessons that are so reasonably priced, VT music school makes learning new music skills assessable for everyone, the children have so many opportunities with VT music, like performing at amazing venues, or getting their grading certificates, highly recommended.

My daughter attended the Matilda workshop and loved learning the songs and dances. It was a brilliant way to spend 4 hours during half term and exceptional value for money. We would definitely recommend Vicky!

Martin has consistently and creatively supported my children in developing their musical talents over the last five years. He has, in particular, patiently worked with my son as he made his way through the brass section looking for the best fit - Euphonium with a sideline in Trombone as it turns out - whilst at the same time making sure he progressed through his practical grades and music theory exams. This combination of encouragement and achievement means I would certainly recommend Martin's services.

Martin's enthusiastic teaching approach is supportive, always encouraging and inspiring. The results speak for themselves. As an adult in my late 50s I took up piano. At 60, I am now working towards Grade 5 alongside discovering the delights of Clarinet playing, with Grade 3 being my next goal. In addition, he has unlocked the mysteries of music theory.

As the children have grown up, Martin has taught piano, guitar and singing in our house and we have all enjoyed the lessons (myself included). He guides and encourages, is honest about the practice required - yet always finds a positive point to highlight.
