Riverside Cottage Nursery cares for children aged 2-12 years old and offers unique early years experience, with lots of fresh air and child-led play. Sarah is a nursery Manager, who has worked in childcare for 14 years and has held management-level posts during this time. The nursery offers an award-winning setting and takes a child-led approach to outdoor play and learning. They have two outdoor classrooms, an allotment, rugged woodlands, a swing park, a garden with a huge trampoline. Riverside Cottage Nursery also has a cottage with a log burner and a big farmhouse table. Here, they sing, have intimate stories and do activities like home-baking. They accept childcare vouchers.

Rainbow Nursery is a non-denominational centre helping the community of Bathgate and other outlying areas of West Lothian. The nursery manager is Susan Johnston, who has over 25 years of experience in childcare and education. The nursery practitioners plan and implement play experiences, record observations and have the wellbeing of each child as their priority. Rainbow Nursery main building on Gideon Street with a three-storey extension which houses a Toddler Room (Yellow Room) in the lower ground floor and the Tweenies (Blue) and Baby (Pink) Rooms on the ground floor.
