I was recommended three years ago to join Eva's class at Choose You Yoga and what an impact it has had on my mind, body and soul! Eva is a truly special teacher, who gives incredible insight and detailed instruction within her practice. She is an extremely positive teacher and offers excellent(and achievable) alternatives, when the body will not comply. A consummate professional.
I use the hall in the choose you studio for my baby & child first aid classes. The hall is bright and welcoming and a great size. Eva (the owner) is lovely to deal with. She is very supportive of local small businesses and tries to help, support and guide them in any way that she can. A perfect venue to book!
Eva's yoga classes are incredibly energising - it's like pressing a big "reset" button on mind and body every single week! Her instructions for the poses are detailed and clear, with different levels of challenge depending on where you are in your practice. And I always get my best night's sleep on yoga class night!
When I explored the idea of yoga, I found Choose You. I remember messaging to ask about where to start, there are so many kinds of yoga. I also said “if there is chanting, I’m no coming!” There wasn’t any chanting in case you’re wondering. Eva encouraged me to come to the class. I got there early, not knowing where to put my mat, I couldn’t figure out which direction was front and needed to be at the back of the room. BTW, I moved forward a row! Eva greeted me with an air about her that indicated I was welcome and I could do this. In Eva’s healing hands, we are in safe hands – she is so knowledgeable, her can do attitude is infectious and if you really can’t do something, she’ll find you an alternative pose. I came to learn about her belief we can all do yoga. I can. I do. By the way, I still can’t do a forward bend, and I still can’t touch my toes. There are other things my body does well with though, in yoga, that I am chuffed about. I huff and puff and sometimes laugh, the energy is one of acceptance.Eva has cultivated an energy in the room that brings us together, promotes self-care, brings energy and balance and awareness of all that makes us who we are. If you want to do anything for yourself, be a yogi. Get some downward dogs, sun salutations, tree poses and cat-cows in your life and your body, mind and feelings will thank you.I love, love that in our class there are different genders, different age groups, different levels of flexibility, different body shapes and all sorts of different yoga outfits. You simply don’t need to be the most flexible, the leanest, or the youngest, nor do you need the latest gear. Sonya and Ruth are always so welcoming. Yoga with them brings lots of joy- whether it's adults or kids classes. Everyone is made to feel at ease and enjoy the time spent on the mat.
Ruth is an amazing Yoga teacher and the new studio is beautiful. All equipment was provided, mat, blanket and bolster cushion, even an eye pillow! I had the 1-2-1 restorative session and it was total bliss! Worth every penny. I came out with an added spring in my step!

Sharon is such a kind and caring person, and its these qualities that make her such a fantastic yoga instructor. I've attended her classes for many years, and I was initially surprised by how much I enjoy her classes on zoom. Sharon still manages to provide individualised and tailored postures and exercises for everyone in her online classes, and there are always alternatives if anyone needs them. The classes are recorded, which allows me to look back on any postures I'm unsure of, and if I'm too tired I can complete the class over two sessions. Sharon's guidance personally helps me to live well with chronic pain and anxiety, and I can't thank her enough for her kindness.
Sharon is a fabulous Yoga instructor, able to clearly explain and demonstrate multiple types of Yoga, focusing on breathing as fundamental to the experience.
I really enjoy yoga classes with Sharon. They are perfectly paced and everything is well explained for people at all levels! I recently joined as a beginner and I felt comfortable with the classes from the first one thanks to Sharon!
