My son recently started with Alison at Kumon after noticing a very quick decline in confidence with maths even after a “he’s exactly where he should be” parents evening with his school. Alison assessed him and a decision to go right back to basics was agreed. From the very first class my son was eager to go back which shocked the life out of me considering how upset he was the minute maths was mentioned the communication between Alison,my son and myself put us all at ease that we were making the correct decision for him. It’s amazing to see a change in attitude, confidence and willingness to learn in such a short period of time. Alison is amazing at keeping in touch and always open to any questions big or small! My three daughters attended Kumon to support their numeracy skills. Alison was remarkable, building positive relationships with all girls. She continually demonstrated commitment, patience and support throughout the last few years. Her communication is outstanding and consistent, even during Lockdown. I found Kumon’s consistent approach was very beneficial and it’s focus on skills that were relevant in school benefited them, increasing their confidence. My daughter was really struggling with maths , especially after lock down. MagiKats provide regular friendly and supportive tuition supported by some homework. The repetition of tasks made them familiar then easier to carry out and has boosted her confidence. Thanks again for all your support and friendly environment.

My daughter attended weekly sessions with Magikats to support her with NAT5 Maths. She got an ‘A’ pass on her final exam and it has given her the confidence to continue with Higher Maths. Staff members are approachable and friendly and let you know how your child is progressing after each session. We have only been using the service since the beginning of first term and already have seen an improvement in our daughter’s confidence in her approach to mathematics.

One of my children was quite behind in English due to a sight problem that was not picked up until Year 6. With additional tutoring to get up to speed, now is proud when achieving a B in English on school reports!
