Mr Iain Brown graduated with an MBChB from the University of Glasgow in 1997 and obtained his FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Elbow and Shoulder Surgeons Society, the Edinburgh International Trauma Faculty, the Society of Scottish Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, and the British Orthopaedic Association. His research and publications focus on frozen shoulders and MMP production. Mr Iain Brown is highly knowledgeable in shoulder reconstruction and has extensive experience in elbow, hand, and wrist surgery. He is integral to the esteemed Trauma Unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and is passionate about quality and care improvements for patients. Mr Hisham Shalaby is an FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and holds an MD and MS in Orthopaedics from Ain Shams University, where he also obtained his MBBCh. He completed an advanced deformity correction fellowship in Liverpool and a trauma fellowship in Nottingham. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS), the British Limb Reconstruction Society (BLRS), the World Orthopaedic Organisation (SICOT), and the Association for the Study & Application of Methods of Ilizarov (ASAMI International). His research and publications cover various topics, including arthritis of the 1st MTP joint (big toe), limb lengthening, foot deformity correction, management of ankle arthritis in young adults, management of ankle osteochondral lesions, and foot and ankle sports injuries. His surgical training was undertaken in Cairo, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Nottingham, within some of the best higher surgical training rotations in trauma and orthopaedics. Mr Hisham Shalaby specialises in performing foot, ankle, and limb reconstruction surgery and has expertise in using circular frames to correct complex foot deformities.
