Ultra professional and super friendly optical specialists. I've been going there for years and can recommend them without any hesitation. Once you have been "Gibson and Syme'd" you won't go anywhere else! Fresh post... Gently but respectfully informed me I could no longer safely drive... Difficult news but I trust these people to look after me and everyone else.

A good selection of frames. I chose Lindbergs. Excellent explanation of the Varifocal lens options. I was told 2 weeks, and lo and behold, 2 weeks it was. The lenses are better than some more expensive ones I have. I'm utterly delighted.

Always liked the personal nature of this business. I’ve been very happy with the service I’ve received over the years and will miss them as I am no longer local. Can recommend them very highly

Went in for eye tests. Service was quick and professional, optician was lovely, explained at length, showed the images of my eyes. They were also quick in responding to my request for the results of my tests to be emailed to me. Wish all service providers were like Specsavers.

They have a wide variety of prescriptive glasses as well as sunglasses. Service is prompt, eye tests are detailed and no compromise on quality. Recommended.

Great store with lovely helpful staff. We were just visiting Edinburgh and they kindly helped fixing my daughter’s glasses which we were so grateful for. Thanks so much!

The Opticians at Marchmont have been really great, the optician is very friendly and I feel she does a thorough eye test. On the day of my eye test they didn't have the style of frames I was looking for, but they kindly ordered new frames in for me so I had more choice!

Great place, highly recommended independent optician. We had 2 pairs for my wife and myself that are very well done... and super quickly!
