MACIEK LESZCZAK B. OST - MYOFASCIAL OSTEOPATHY EDINBURGH REVIEWS
I'm so grateful to Mattie for helping to resolve some ongoing hip pain. I had a negative experience with my local GP, but Mattie immediately acknowledged and understood my situation. He was able to pinpoint the issue within the first session, and after a few follow ups the pain is almost completely gone. Mattie is exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced and understanding. I really appreciated the time he took to explain the functionality of the hip, the potential causes of this type of pain, and what was required to resolve the issue. I look forward to continuing to work with him and I would recommend him to anyone :)
I have a bad back condition that gives me constant pain and walking a lot while traveling is not helping. I found Mattie online while visiting Edinburgh and so happy I did! Just one session with him helped me tremendously! I felt more relaxed and the pain level went down right after the session. He is very knowledgeable, gave me some advices on how to keep the pain down on everyday basis. I highly recommend him and definitely will see him again if in town again.
Mattie is hands down the best therapist I have been to. He is able to quickly identify and address any problems and I always feel so much better after my visits. I go once a month now to take care of my back and wouldn't go anywhere else! 100% recommend :)

ALEXANDRIA BLACK M. OST - AB OSTEOPATHY REVIEWS
Amanda was recommended to me initially my trusted Pilates instructor so I went there feeling quite confident and relaxed even lthough I know little or nothing about this area of health care. I was really impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of the detailed diagnosis - and explanation - and then by the treatment (which was explained - very well communicated indeed). I have now returned for a completely different problem which is already improving. The key things are: the diagnosis is careful and amazingly detailed, that and the treatment are properly explained (as is the 'homework'!) and the experience itself is relaxed (even if some of it hurts a bit!). One is always wary of recommending a medical practitioner if one is not knowledgeable in the area - trust is critical - but I would and will recommend Amanda and AB Osteopathy to others.
I first made an appointment with Alex Black after having problems with my lower back, although I had many other niggling problems too. I was still recovering from a broken leg and the knock-on effects of that. I immediately felt very comfortable. Alex is extremely thorough and knowledgeable – she asked a lot of questions, and took her time in assessing me and working out the best courses of treatment. The treatment itself felt equally thorough, with Alex using the techniques she felt most appropriate, which she explained in full. With osteopathy, deep massage and acupuncture, Alex has worked wonders not only on my lower back but also on my long-standing neck tension, and on my lower leg problems that followed the break and surgery. I play roller derby and train up to three times a week. As someone who has played the sport itself, Alex is both sympathetic and realistic about its impact on the body and about the need to train regularly. Not only does Alex cram the hour’s appointment as full as possible, she has also given me lots of helpful information and exercises to take home with me. I have already recommended Alex to many people, and I will continue to do so!
After struggling for years with episodic pain, whether that be my back, hips, knees or elbows, I am now a regular patient of Amanda's. A session every now and again keeps me in check and her advice with regards to my posture and useful exercises have definitely reduced my episodes of pain.
