“Duchess of Hamilton Park has expansive views, green grass, and picnic facilities with recreational activities for all ages. The park occupies seven hectares in size. The park has many specimen trees, shrubs, flower beds, and open green spaces. Duchess of Hamilton Park has an impressive corocord unit with a central focal point within the play area and equipment in zoned areas. The park also includes the war memorial for Motherwell, a memorial for the Spanish Civil War in recognition of the people from North Lanarkshire who joined the fight against fascism, a children's play area, and a multi-use games area. Duchess of Hamilton Park is a secure and enjoyable place for people to visit for picnicking and sporting activities.

Well maintained park. Great for a variety of things to do, I have spent many hours walking and running here. Great for dog walking too. Plenty of car parks meaning you don't often struggle to find a space. It can be busy on a peak summer evening however the expansion of the paths has made a great difference.

Been jogging round Strathclyde Park on and off for years. Roughly about 6km depending on the route (I usually run around the water). Paths are clear, and the views, especially when the weather is good as it was on this most recent visit, are lovely. Great place when it's not too busy.

DRUMPELLIER COUNTRY PARK REVIEWS

This is a beautiful loch in all weather. It's got a great 1mile circuit that is completely flat (great for those with mobility issues) and plenty of benches along the way. Beautiful loch, well kept, swans and ducks, other wildlife, a beautiful peace garden halfway around the loch and plenty of grass area to sunbathe or play ball games etc. It has some gorgeous sunsets and is just so lovely to get into nature if you are stuck in the city or residential area and want a break that is close by. They have toilets and a cafe. Dog friendly. Usually an ice cream truck is there nearly all year round.

Great for a Jog or just a walk around the Loch with or without the dog. There's a swingpark for the kids, plenty of green space for a picnic it's one of those Oasis type places just outside the city. Calm clean great atmosphere with beautiful gardens and plenty of benches for a rest. There's even an ice cream van to keep the kids quiet or if you fancy a proper bite to eat and a hot drink there's the cafe there's public toilets just opposite.

Perfect for a wintery walk with a coffee. Really clearly signposted walking trails with a beautiful loch and other scenery. The paths are really well kept and the carpark is right at the start of the walking trails. A large number of the trails are accessible for prams or wheelchairs. Even in the winter, the trails weren’t too muddy so entirely possible to go in regular trainers.

Great park! It has a skate park area suitable for smaller kids too and a regular play park. Clean and dog friendly with areas for football/basketball and good for walking round if you need a little exercise. Street parking outside, I've been in busy times and still find a parking space. Would recommend.

The best park in the Motherwell and Wishaw area by far. Multi-sports court, skatepark and play area is being extended with all new equipment for the wee ones to have great fun. Well lit and maintained. Just a pity that it is not replicated elsewhere in the locality.

Good place to take your dog, especially if you need lots of space to see round about you. We have a nervous dog and to see 360 round about us when out with the dog is a great help. Nice park as well !!!
