Drumpellier Country Park has two large natural lakes that attract many types of wildlife and plants. Drumpellier Country Park is accessible to wheelchairs and prams.

Duchess of Hamilton Park has expansive views, green grass, and picnic facilities with recreational activities for all ages. The park occupies seven hectares in size. The park has many specimen trees, shrubs, flower beds, and open green spaces. Duchess of Hamilton Park has an impressive corocord unit with a central focal point within the play area and equipment in zoned areas. The park also includes the war memorial for Motherwell, a memorial for the Spanish Civil War in recognition of the people from North Lanarkshire who joined the fight against fascism, a children's play area, and a multi-use games area. Duchess of Hamilton Park is a secure and enjoyable place for people to visit for picnicking and sporting activities.

2025 Update: The park is bounded by Victorian semi-detached housing on one side and modern detached houses on the other.
